Please list any upcoming Kerry events and appearances you may know of here. Include any and all info you have, such as time, place, date, cost to attend, etc. If you know of anything going on in another part of the country besides your own local area, list that too!

I encourage everyone to post as soon as they find out about something going on so people have plenty of notice to arrange travel if need be.

1. Man I wish I could go to that
I used to work with Air Traffic Controllers so I know quite a bit about NATCA. I of course can't go to this because I got school tommorow and well I am not obviously an ATCer.

2. Head Start: Orlando, FLA May 27th
The surviving founding fathers of Head Start and closing session
speaker Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) are among the highlights of
the 2005 National Head Start Association (NHSA) Annual Training
Conference, which will take place May 24 to May 27, in Orlando,
Fla. The NHSA gathering is serving as the largest commemoration of
the 40th anniversary of the founding of the successful and popular
Head Start program, which gets America's most at-risk children
ready to learn in kindergarten and beyond.

Sen. Kerry will be the conference's main speaker at 11:30 a.m.
on Friday, May 27, during the closing general session.

3. I am learning about Head Start
Glad to see he is involved in this. (I know he brought it up in his DNC speech) It's sick that Darth Cheney voted against it. :puke:

Thanks Tay Tay for posting this. :hi:

4. Thanks for noticing kiddo!
Head Start is a wonderful program. So, of course, Rethugs have the knives out for it. Their goal is to have no programs that come from the govt. If the poor need programs, they need to turn to Rethug-assliated Churches to get them. (Thus obligating them to drink Rethug Kool-Aid in order to get needed benefits.)

Sigh! Glad that Kerry is still fighting for this.

5. You're welcome!
I am education person, and I am glad Kerry is fighting for this. (Another reason to dislike Bush). His pathetic NCLB is doing nothing for our schools here.

6. I can tell you from experience....
...when I was a youngster (well, younger LOL) my family wasn't in the greatest position at the time and I was in Head Start. So, I appreciate Senator Kerry's leadership on this issue.
