May I propose a "Kerry Events" thread to be updated weekly, or so?
Edited on Sun Apr-17-05 02:53 PM by Vektor
Or as often as needed? I have been noticing that many Kerrycrats have been attending/mentioning Kerry events all over the country lately. Though I am on several mailing lists, I am often not informed of these things, likely because many of them are not local to me. I have a flexible job and am willing and able to travel and meet other forum members and attend out-of state events periodically if I have some notice.

I will volunteer to be the one to start the thread each week, and you guys can just chime in if you know of anything that is going on in your area. We'll just keep it kicked as needed. This might be a good way for Kerrycrats all over the country to keep track of what Kerry's up to, and where he's going. We can also possibly plan meet-ups around such events.

Edited to add - we can all chime into these threads as soon as we hear about Kerry events on the schedule. So, even if a thread is stared the last week of April, if you receive notice of a Kerry event for early June, jump in and give the details, that way we can all know as early as possible what's going on, and arrange to attend if necessary.

What do you guys think?

:-)

1. One thing is for sure - we TOTALLY need a meetup.
I know it's hard because we're scattered all across the country, but I think meeting you guys would be a blast.

2. We would get in so much trouble!
But the good kind.

Kerry has been REALLY active lately, appearing all over the map! I hope this trend continues throughout the summer!

Have love, WILL TRAVEL!

3. I am hoping that having the PAC up and running
will make this easier. I didn't hear about the Faneuil Hall event until it was posted in here. I know that Sen Kerry will appear at the Marathon tomorrow (but not in shorts and a t-shirt, alas) because I happened to catch it on the news. (I think he ran the Marathon one year, hmmmm, I wonder if he finished. What was he wearing? Who did his end of the Marathon rub-down in the tent?)

Ahm, where was I? Oh, yeah, wonky stuff. I was hoping that when the PAC comes up that they will have a schedule that will say where he is going to be speaking and when. That would be nice.

4. That would be great -
Who is going to be running the PAC site?

5. I still have the announcement sheet
but it's at work. I will post it tomorrow in this thread. I cannot remember the name of the PAC. (Mental block or brain-damage, you decide.) It makes sense to have the schedule in that.

8. Sorry, My sister is now a licensed massage therapist
She has volunteered for Boston Marathon duty so that she can do the leg and back rub-downs after the 26.2 mile run. The medical tents have tons of volunteers and lots and lots of the runners check in afterwards to get a nice massage and a checkup. So, I was just wondering, I wonder who did the post-race rub-down for.....

Okay, Can't go there this early in the morning. Have work to do.

6. Great idea, Vektor!
I guess my chances to ever meet him in person are very small. But I will be in California the whole month of June and if he happened to turn up somewhere nearby, maybe I could make it. A girl can dream!

BTW, Vektor, I just sent you a PM concerning the France trip. Sorry that it took so long.

He's all over the place, and hard to keep track of. We New Englanders probably get more Kerry news just because how is the Boston Globe gonna keep the insults coming if they don't know what he's been up to?

I'd be interested in reading local newspaper stories about Kerry from other parts of the country, too. Not the newswire stories, but the real local-written ones, if anyone feels like posting them.
