Kind of O/T, but..

..I just found out that I got an internship with the DNC this fall in DC! :) I am completely surprised by this as it was a sort of "long shot" application on my part, one that I sort of did for the heck of it to maybe get my toe in the door for a future opportunity, etc..not actually thinking I'd get, at least the first time out! I am still working out the finer details (my schooling for one..) but I think I am going to do this. (I do have the option of going online for classes while I am interning and then returning to MA to continue in person thereafter). It's still early, but this just feels like too big an opportunity to pass up!

I know this is O/T but I wanted to share with my fellow Kerrycrats! :) I found out yesterday but am still pinching myself!

Has anyone here done something similar before? I am open to advice!

But could there be a more exciting time to have an internship with the DNC than the year before the reelection campaign for a Democratic incumbent?!? But like JK recently said on Twitter (regarding riding with Lance Armstrong in this year's Pan Mass Challenge) "Holy dogs, now the pressure is ON!" LOL! :)

But I agree--there could be very few other times more exciting to be with the DNC in this way than right now! SO much is hanging in the balance and on the line in this upcoming cycle! Yet in spite of it all, I feel good about our prospects. I can't wait to be a part of it in this way and to be in one of the most exciting cities in the world, though I will miss MA! :( I'll be back though! :)

I can't wait. So much to do, so little time..but I am excited for it all. And I am so thankful for all of your good wishes! You guys are the best. :grouphug:
