JK and Lieberman on John King USA last night
I don't exactly know what to make of this clip, which was clearly taken out of the larger context of the interview, which I understand was supposed to be about the American Power Act and carefully includes nothing about it! It ends up being about JK's endorsement on the PA special election and also about the partisan nature of politics today.

Posting not to make any comment or point, but just because I found it and thought it might be of interest here:

1. It does show what they think is important
Kerry's comments show that we did get what he was doing right. Listening, I suspect that had Sestak not used the word swiftboating he would have stayed out it.

4. this was also my take on his remarks
. .that his statement was about the tone of the campaign, and in particular (as you said) the use of the term swiftboating, not really about the candidates themselves. He seemed to me to be very uncomfortable weighing in on this primary at all, and only reluctantly agreed to his office's characterization of his statement as an "endorsement".

I don't like the tone of this primary either, and I wish that the candidates could have somehow managed to keep it more positive.
So far, not as bad at the Dem primary for the congressional seat in Hawaii, at least (so awful that the DCCC ended up pulling their support completely from BOTH Dem candidates in Hawaii. . ), but, I still worry about the consequences of the Sestak-Specter acrimony for the general election in this 1/2blue-1/2red state. Whatever the pluses and minuses of each Dem candidate (and I can see the perspectives of both wisteria and MH), it would be truly awful if Toomey won!!!

2. Wish I hadn't watched that.
And I wish I wouldn't have had a flashback to fall 2006 this evening as I was driving home from the Sestak campaign office.

I'm going to try very hard not to have anything more to say on this until after May 19 (and I mean 19) unless I feel it is necessary to defend Joe Sestak.

3. Well, leaving aside the primary in PA, what kind of 2006 flashback did you have?
Lieberman? The botched joke? Sestak's first campaign? Dems taking Congress? Just was wondering what your worries are. I know I am worried.

5. I'll clarify it after the 19th
if it still seems important to anyone.

I will say that it is more of a generally crappy feeling than 'worry'.
