Something for you to read this morning
Here's a story about Ted that appeared on the editorial page of the Akron Beacon Journal this morning. I'm posting it for all of you in Massachusetts, so you can nod your heads in agreement. I'm just grateful it was in the Beacon because our coverage, in its attempt to be "balanced," has permitted some rather disturbing images of Ted over the past few days, including a long piece on the end of the "myth of Camelot" and an editorial cartoon that showed Ted as partly evil ... good Ted, bad Ted ... had to take both.

Anyway, here's the link. The piece is written by a history faculty member at The University of Akron:

Thank you all for you posts and great links over the past several days. They've helped both my husband and me find the coverage we've needed. Trust me, when you feel a huge loss, seeing a Ted with devil's horns is not the best thing over morning coffee.

1. This story brought tears to my eyes.
I live only a little ways from the town that person was brought up in and I will share that story with folks from that town.

Thank you for sharing that. May we all get a little boost in our own compassion and hearts from wonderful people like the man in that story.

2. Wow
That really makes me see the importance of the work a Senator does for his constituents. (This was something I think I never realized the importance of compared to the things I saw as the "big" things - but this was a "big" thing for that family. )

3. Beautiful story.
It's wondergul that we get to hear so many wonderful stories of the Kennedys compassion, and I'm sure there are thousands more that are untold.
