Rumblings: Kerry Working on Omnibus Voting Bill

I am getting word from some interesting and reputable quarters that Kerry is working on an omnibus voting rights bill. I have no idea of the timeline, what the language will include, or what it will cover.

If anyone here gets wind of what is happening with this, post it here. I will also update as I get more information

1. i really really really hope
that his bill trumps all the other ones out there right now. it would be great if he took the best of all Conyers', Clinton's, Dodd's, and Ensign's bill and put them altogether in one.....please please let it be good - it HAS to be good, he knows he was freaking duped this past election! Please Kerry, do it right! :bounce:

2. Ooooh, we need to get Fire's opinion on it
right away. (Hey Fire, did you have any input on this?)

Where are my manners, of course there are many folks in here who have knowledge of the issues on Election Reform and what needs to be done. I can't wait to hear from all.

...and I'm trying to track it down today.

Will post whatever information I can get.

In the meantime, JK -- :yourock:

Edit to say this:
I would love to flatter myself that I harassed them into doing this, but that's a bit too much of an ego trip even for me. (And that's saying something. :o) All I can say is that the staff told me on the 12th of January that it was not written then. No word on whether it had been started then, so I don't know exactly how long he's been on it. My guess is it's existed in some form since mid-December.

3. I wonder if Kerry knows it was stolen now.
I believe he would do this wether he thought he won or lost, but I realllllly wonder what he's thinking.

5. I have the feeling, based on just hints here and there
that he knows. I mean he dealt with these bastards before and knows that they are without a moral compass or a conscience. But I think he knew that proof would be hard to come by unless someone cracked and started talking. (Which hasn't happened yet in any meaningful way.) But I think all the Dems know this happened and are planning something to make sure it doesn't happen again. Patience. Build the case and the take it to the people.

he drops, "According to the polls there are 2 million people in this room right now", tell me he knows. I firmly believe he's just biding his time and gathering the facts.

He knows, better than anyone, that this is not an area where you can afford to swing and miss. The first swing has to be a home run.

7. Amen to that.

Plus, we don't have a recall system (short of impeachment and trial in the Senate) for the Presidency. So, Kerry has to bide his time, make his arguments and then build the case for fraud.

He is a patient guy now, I think that is what he will do. Sigh!
