HIGHLIGHTS: State Attorneys General will meet with U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales will address Attorneys General on children and Internet safety. FBI Director Robert Mueller will appear to discuss current law enforcement measures to guard against future acts of terrorism, as well as other critical legal issues of state-federal concern. The Association has invited
U.S. Senators John Kerry and Lindsey Graham, co-chairs of the Senate Prosecutors’ Caucus to discuss Senate perspectives on criminal law issues. John Walsh, co-founder of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and host of Fox TV’s America’s Most Wanted, will address Attorneys General on issues surrounding the Adam Walsh Act. Attorneys General will have the opportunity to discuss recent U.S. Supreme Court cases, as well as discuss the landmark Dred Scott decision with legal scholars and the great-great-granddaughter of Dred Scott. Attorneys General will also meet with officials from the North American Securities Administrators Association, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the ACLU, Fight Crime Invest in Kids, the Anti-Defamation League, the Ad Council, the Jason Foundation (youth suicide prevention), consumer advocates and noted legal scholars.
