Kerry & Edwards Friendship
Begging your pardon, but I thought ya'll would like this part of a recent article on Edwards.

"He and John Kerry, who lives just one block over in Georgetown, have so far stayed in closer touch than many had assumed the former and perhaps future rivals would. "We talk all the time, and Jack and Emma Claire were over there yesterday afternoon'' with Kerry's wife, Teresa, "and came home with half a pound cake.''

Sounds like Mama T loves to spoil those children. I absolutely loved the pictures of John Kerry with Jack Edwards during the announcement of the VP selection. It was clear that both the Kerrys were just enchanted with those kids and Jack loved being the center of attention.

In those heady days of the VP announcement and leading up to the convention, I remember feeling such hope and optimism that these two great families were going to be our leaders. <heavy sigh>

2. Very nice, and confirms what I thought I saw
Edwards sounded very sincere when he talked about Kerry during his farewell speech. And they worked the campaign as a team, conferring all the time, said Edwards during the campaign. They would have been a very close team if they'd gotten in.

And I thought Edwards including health care on his CSPAN talk last night dovetailed nicely with what Kerry is trying to do.

I really did believe that they formed a close bond during the campaign, and it looks like I wasn't fooling myself. That's good to hear. It makes my heart glad.

3. I felt the same way.
It was almost too good to be true. All those beautiful, intelligent, and openhearted people at the head of the country? I share your sigh.

6. Good not as good as this...

I loved those photos when it looked like they were going to kiss each other on the lips.
Anyone see that 60 Minutes Kerry/Edwards interview/giggle fest last July?

Favorite part:
How is the honeymoon going?

"I think we need to start looking for Silver Anniversary gifts. This is a marriage that's working," says Elizabeth Edwards.

"We're just getting to know you," adds Teresa Heinz Kerry, referring to the song from the musical, "The King And I." "No, we're what? Four days in? And all we've done is laugh and have a good time."

Yes, my friends, Teresa actually burst into song and she sounded marvelous. I think the two women dig each other.

7. lol they look like vampires in that picture
about to sink their teeth into each others' necks!

Seriously, I get a kick out of the way all the senators are always grabbing each others' arms, patting each other's backs, hugging (women more often),putting arms around others' shoulders and necks--all that physical contact is normal. Then the two of them(JK and JE) got up in front of a rally and did the same--and the jokes were flying about how they were in love, etc. But anyone who has ever watched any senators on the floor of the Senate will see the same stuff every day. It's like a big club.

8. No they don't look like vampires!
They look like they are totally in love, OK! Heehee...

There has been a scientific study of the manner of physical contact on the Senate floor and it's alot like chimpanzees. Supposively, the Senator who puts his hands on the top of the other Senator is saying he's in the dominant position. So, usually you'll see the photo of Kerry with his hands on top of Edwards or with Kerry putting his hands on Edwards and not the other way around.
Whatever, I still think they are totally hot couple. I alot hotter than Dubya and Joe.

9. interesting! I love that sociological /psych stuff!
Yeah and you are right: in both pictures posted in this thread, it is JK who has his hands on JE.

I guess he dominates the Boss too:
