Kerry will be on Imus on Monday morning (it was promoed during Hardball).
On a different thread I posted this:

"Mike Barnicle was on Imus this morning and said he talked to Kerry yesterday. Barnicle said Kerry said (geez, it sounds like junior high)that Imus misunderstood. Imus said Kerry called him yesterday and he didn't take the call or talk to him. Barnicle said Kerry would be on the show, and he and Imus essential decided Kerry would be on Monday morning. Who the hell knows! We will see if Kerry calls Imus on Monday morning or if it was all BS.

edit to add: If Kerry doesn't call, Imus could do one of his typical freak-outs like when the train didn't stop at the ranch. Oh no, the world is ending, Kerry's train didn't stop at Imus' ranch. Boo hoo."

They must have confirmed it since they are now advertising it.

2. I don't like Imus for the fact he is a total ass
But let me say this no matter how big a ass he is he does a lot for sick kids. For that I do give him credit. Him and his wife have done a lot and made many kids happy and let them have one of the greatest experiences their life before they died. So the man does have a heart and deserves credit where credit is due. I don't for his nasty ass attitude but again I will say this he is not only that way with democrats he is also that way with republicans. He has a total attitude problem.

Kerry has known Imus for years and he knows how Imus is and sure he gets pissed at Imus as well as the rest of us. But at the same time he realizes that is just Imus and he knows all that Imus and his wife do for kids. So rather than act like Imus or hold grudges against someone for a bunch of bullshit words he spouts off everyday about everyone republicans and democrats he chooses to look at all the good that Imus does do and respect him for that and ignore the other shit. That is hard for many to do but Kerry is the type that can and has proven it many times over.

Kerry has own agenda to take care of. He is trying to get Imus on board with his Kids First Act. And who better to get on board than one of the biggest mouths in the country that is on the radio as well as TV. Because Imus can be a big help in this effort. And if there ever was one thing that Imus is passionate about it is kids especially those who are sick and their parents can't afford health care. Now while this is not been said for the reason of Kerry wanting to talk to Imus it was Kerry himself that said that he would be delivering all the personal messages and stories from his call in campaign to promote the Kids First Act. He said that he wants the world to her what others are feeling and he wants people to see how important it is to make sure this bill is passed. So I'm willing to bet he does that very thing when he goes to Imus show. Sometimes people have to set aside personal feelings to get the real goals accomplished. And Kerry is a champion at doing that.

3. I agree Imus is a total ass and with pretty much everything else in your
post.

Kerry is doing an excellent job of staying in the news without going on so many shows that he isn't seen as a big "get" anymore.

4. I hate Imus
I really do but any publicity is good. Especially for what Kerry is trying to do.

5. I have always admired JK's courage...
in facing the music. He is a grownup. He knows that all the interviews are not going to be deadly serious like MTP. He knows that he is going to take some shit from people. I believe his attitude in the past was, well, get it over with, prolonging it only makes it worse. So I would expect him to start going on the talk shows. (I do wish he would do AAR first. They have been like jilted lovers lately with some shows being more critical than others.) I would prefer it if he did 'liberal radio' which would be a nice payback for them backing him during the campaign.

JK is going to take some shit. This is inevitable. Everybody is an armchair quarterback in national politics and they will want to give him and earful on what he did wrong. Again, wade right in, show you can take it and not wilt and give some of it back and in that way, get on with your life. I admire this, I coudl never do it.

6. I Have To Agree

And that includes dealing with Imus LOL. No matter how big a ass he is Kerry is a better man than Imus will ever be and Kerry overlooks what Imus says. Kerry is doing a excellent job and is doing right by confronting these people head on. And as I said before Imus does have his good points as hard as it is for some to believe. He may be uglier than hell and a attitude to go with it but deep inside he does have some good in him unlike Limpballs and inSanity.
