from county to county across the country. We had someone test the machines 12 different ways, and was satisfied. Then they checked the night before to make sure everything was sealed. Then volunteers like me and Fedup checked them again in the morning -- that they were sealed and the numbers matched AND that the votes started at 0. We came back that evening to get vote totals and make sure it jived with total number of votes (there were undervotes, but only 21 out of 2100). I am confident that people's votes counted in Virginia Beach. But if you notice, it was a lot of work for all the double checking. Exactly what did local Democrats in the 13th district of Florida do? If they didn't get involved with all the double checking we did, well, then, they sure as heck should have. Maybe they would have caught the problems before it started. I'd really like to know what they did.
Florida, btw, seems to be a very corrupt state. Not sure what you can do about that. My parents live there, and it was very confusing voting for the congressional race. In short, they were robbed of their rightful Congresswoman. (my Mom thinks the Republican, who is a crook, not only stole the general election, but the Republican primary, too. That should be looked into as well to see if there are any patterns.)
