Damn you, John Kerry!
How could you be so stupid? Your comments in California costed us the senate!

Wait ...

1. :-)
I'm sitting here waiting for the apologies to start rolling in. And the thank you's.

How long do you think I'll have to wait?

11. Maybe Mass voters got Kerry and Kerry Healey confused and defeated her
for her remarks insulting our troops. ;)

5. No related, but this let me wondering
It seems to me that Kerry should be on the other side. He was a strong supporter of all these people.

But beyond what's easy, the Democrats move forward will have to decide whether they assume the national security approach of the old "experts" like John Kerry and Joseph Biden, or the "new" voices like Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), now joined by additional high qualified anti-war but military supporters like retired Vice Admiral Joe Sestak, elected to Congress in Pennsylvania's 7th District; or Chris Carney, a Navy Reserve intelligence officer elected in Pennsylvania's 10th District.

9. I'm thinking they're really just stupid
Watching MSNBC last night, I was struck by the number of things they got wrong. It occurred to me that maybe we've been wrong about their whoring all along. Maybe, when they start repeating their right wing nonsense, they're really so stupid they don't know they're doing it. One of them started talking about the robo-calls, and completely missed the point that the calls were jamming people's phones. Instead, she repeated some right wing blog's stupidity about Dems whining because we didn't think of robo-cals. Maybe we've given them too much credit thinking they're right wing toadies. Maybe they're just as incompetent as the Bushies are, which would also explain why they don't see it.

13. I was flipping between MSNBC and CNN
And also Cspan, which showed the speeches in full. I thought MSNBC more Dem-friendly compared to CNN. And their pundits seemed smarter and more informed--they had the NBC big guns helping out too. The best CNN had were Carville and Begala.

I noticed at the Dem headquarters in Washington where Pelosi gave her speech that when nobody was speaking, the big TV monitor to one side of the stage was tuned to MSNBC.

14. There was a really funny moment -
I think it was on MSNBC, late. THey were interviewing Murtha, and right behind him was a tv screen with Murtha being interviewed. Surreal.

15. I thought MSNBC was better too. CNN is off my list now. They did
the worse chop job on Kerry and Candy Crowley is just creepy.

10. I think it's a stupid division
I agree with you - Kerry has gained allies, which is why he kept saying the fighting vets were so important to him. Also, Murtha actually is misplaced as he is as "old" a voice as Biden and Kerry.

The good thing is that the Post even mentioned Kerry here - listed as a nation security expert. What is up with the quotes though, old "experts" vs "new" voices? Is something showing there??? Consider names not there; Evan Bayh and Hillary Clinton.
