Jon on The Daily Show's Midterm Midtacular:

"It's the most fun you can have without actually going to Ohio."

What are YOU doing Tuesday, November 7? Make a difference without leaving your chair by checking out the Comedy Central InDecider Blog. There'll be funny stuff all week, culminating in some politically-charged live-blogging on election night, featuring special guests from both sides of the aisle!

http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/cc_insider/cc_indecider/index.html

Can you hear that whirring sound? That's Karl Rove's mutant hydraulic brain working overtime for the Republican party. Can you hear that sucking sound? That's the Democrats being Democrats. Can you hear that yawning sound? That's the non-voting 60% of the national population.

This can all only mean one thing: It's Election Time again!

Oh, yes. A mid-term election. Is there any spectacle in United States pagentry more glorious than a bunch of people you've never heard of traveling around and going on television to talk smack on a bunch of other people you've never heard of? No, of course there's not. But this year (according to bloggers, pundits and the guy around the corner who sells bagels), the election actually means something! All the better for us.

Starting today, the CC Insider will be presenting the CC InDecider. We'll have a whole lot of ridiculous nonsense for you everyday until Election Day, complete with special guests, uninformed opinions and maybe even a few official endorsements. It'll be just like mainstream media coverage, except you won't have to look at Wolf Blitzer's face.

So, stop by, set down, have a mug of hot chocolate, and warm yourself by the fires of our burning Democracy.

1. Do you know if this will be in TDS's normal 11 p.m. time slot?
My boss (who is obviously insane) scheduled us to conduct a training out of town on the evening of November 7th. What the hell was she thinking? She made these plans last week when I was at the doctor having my cast removed, so I really had no say in the matter. Hopefully by the time I return home, Senator Barfbag (and many others) will be toast, and I can sit back and watch Jon and company poke fun at Spunk, Moxie and corrupt Republicans everywhere!
