Who watched The Amazing Race tonight?
They are off to a good start.

I am sad to see that the cowboys are having a tough time. I like them a lot. But so many of my other favorites are there, too.

I can't stand the former cheerleaders, and the deaf son and his mother. I hope those two teams wash out quickly. Did you see them try to cheat when the Globetrotters were giving their answer to the puzzle? Jerks! It is fine if teams help each other, but not if they steal answers from each other.

This could be an interesting race.

1. It isn't cheating as even the Globetrotters acknowledged by being sure to whisper

so that they couldn't get the answer. I am surprised Luke didn't lipread it though or atleast enough of it to figure out the missing word. The cowboys got very lucky here as if this had been any other season they would be gone now. Instead they have a chance to make up time with the continued race.

2. I watched
I was sad to see the cowboys doing poorly, too. How hard could that flag puzzle be that teams simply stopped doing it halfway through? I was getting frustrated watching so many teams be rather lazy.

I was pleasantly surprised by the teams they chose to be on this season. I figured it would be a bunch that irritate the living hell out of me but was wrong. I don't like the cheerleaders, liked the mother and deaf son at the beginning of their season but came to be annoyed by them.

6. Same for me and I'm not sure why...
I liked the mom and deaf son originally but became annoyed with them.

One thing I liked about this episode was an attempt at a real challenge, i.e. the flag puzzle. I get so tired of the ones where they just have to find something or get to something instead of having to SOLVE something. Puzzles give the less athletic teams a chance to get ahead.

I don't even remember the engaged couple from their original season.

3. I thought it was the best opening episode yet
Disappointed that it's in two parts, though. I would have liked a two-hour premiere.

I like the mother and deaf son but I got annoyed by them this week. Come on, cowboys! You're smarter than this. The cheerleaders can go first, as far as I'm concerned. And the engaged couple. I like most of the teams, though.

4. how ironic
that the Young Dating Couple who got Philiminated by a U-Turn on their original season gave themselves a U-Turn to start this season. :D

I like the cowboys and the goths, neither of whom did well at all. I'm also starting to pull for Gary and Mallory. Mallory's personality type normally grates (I couldn't stand Brook last season, for instance), but on Mallory it just seems so natural and enthusiastic.

Good challenges so far. Nice to see them moving west to east for a change. They've done it once or twice before, but I can't recall when.

5. I agree with your choices.
I like the cowboys and the goths.

It is surprising to me that I like Mallory. A beauty queen and a super Christian? But she is likable and seems very genuine and spontaneous. I would not be upset at all if they win.
