What are your thoughts about this week's episode?

Things that came to mind as I was watching this week:

Apparently the previews from last week made the show look more foreboding than it actually was. Things are unraveling, but not the way I was lead to believe last week.

What's with the nosy neighbor? Seriously. If someone came to my door inquiring about my neighbor, two doors down I would be asking if dude has a bit too much time on his hands. (I know it's just a show--that's just a plausibility concern of mine...lol).

Niki is horrible. The way she dumps on Margene, and messes up their "system" such as it is.

But I was blown away by Margene's dedication to that family and those kids. Having the security guy drive her to give Teeny her costume--So SWEET! Just part of what makes me just love Margene.

For Margene and Barb to be the one's that didn't grow up with this system, it's interesting to me that they are the one's that seem to try the hardest to maintain order and respect for each other. Nikki grew up with it but seems to have the biggest issues with it. She feels entitled and resents being second it seems.

I also like that Barb is pursuing her career opportunity. Good for her! I don't know what the affect will be on the others though.

1. I'm still getting into it

I don;t know enough about the characters to really get a feel for them yet. I agree that Margene is a sweetheart and I love her getting the big alarm guy to drive her ass around. Nikki is going to be in huge trouble once they find out about the debt she has piled up. $58,000? Hole shit. That is crazy. That job of BArb's is going to pretty much just go toward paying off bills.

Roman is pure evil. So Bill's grandad was the colony founder and Roman stole it all away. I wonder how Bill's dad did not wind up getting ousted. Also, the poisoning thing has got to come into play soon. I bet his dad holds some legal position in the colony/corporation that Roman wants.

I love the show so far. Great stuff, though the wolf in the garage was a bit much.

2. The Colony, Roman and Bill's family

is fascinating stuff! Classic story of greed, deception and people playing those they feel are weaker. It's crazy that Bill's brother was some sort of football star, which would translate into some sort of strength and athleticism. The guy just seems so weak and defeated--a pawn for Roman to use... so sad.

You're right that Roman is evil. The thing is, he seems to think that Bill's entire family are pushovers. He seems to believe that he can just bully Bill, the brother everyone--and they are just going to go for it. I bet you're right about the poisoning and Bill's dad. He's got to have more power than he knows of and is too dense to see that Roman is trying to use him.

How is it no one can see how Roman is trying to use Nikki for info. on Bill? Especially Nikki? I guess all that shopping, lying and bullying has her brains a bit scrambled. :P

The entire family is going to go ape shit crazy when they find out about Nikki's debt. Did you see how she sashayed in with shopping bags AFTER her father gave her some money to pay her bills? She's so sick...

The wolf was a bit over the top. I disliked seeing him get shot. I guess it's more a way of life in Utah, but I don't like seeing it anyway. :(

3. That wolf was scary

I don't know if it was CGI or a trained animal, but man it was real and scary. If I were in the woods and that sucker came out, I doubt I would be able to fire at it. Fear might overtake me.

I did not realize Nikki came in with shoppin gbags, she is such a psycho. She will eb the end of that family. I'm not sure about the guy across the street. He has to be part of something bigger.

Yes, Ms. Nikki had the audacity to come in the front door with no less than THREE shopping bags--including one from The Gap. Part of why Margene said, "...was your family emergency at The Gap?" LOL!

5. Who do you think Bill is cheating with next week?

I wonder if he's seeing a fourth person or is it one of the wives? Should be interesting.

6. Personally--

I will be very surprised if he is "seeing someone new." I get the sense that HBO is making it look that way, but the reality of their scenario is probably different. Bill seems rather overwhelmed with the three he has--I just don't see him taking on a fourth--but I could be wrong, of course. :hi:

Replacing Nikki, maybe. Taking on a brand new wife--I'm not so sure about that. lol.

7. it was an interesting show tonight! -- possible spoiler

After seeing last week's previews, I didn't think he would be interested in a possible 4th wife but I didn't expect what happened tonight!

After getting used to the polygamy thing, I was surprised to see him so attached to Barb. I mean, it's not on their schedule.

This show never fails to surprise me........

8. I found their sex scenes HOT. And to think it was between a couple

who had been married for so long. The idea of illicit love is a powerful aphrodisiac.

I've never been married so I don't speak from experience but it seems to me that love is love........whether you've been married for a long time or not!

Like I said, I don't speak from experience so I may be completely wrong but that's how it seems to me.

And I really liked it when Bill was in the office and was talking to that girl who was complaining about polygamy and he told it wasn't anyone else's business what people do in their own beds! And then when she said she didn't know what he was talking about and he told her that she didn't understand.

That was great!

10. Oh honey please don't set yourself up for a letdown. Sex really does

suck after you've been married for a while. :rofl: They were doing it like they were having an illicit affair and that is why they were so hot with one another.

11. well hell, when you have two wives to help cook, clean and watch the kids

as well as grocery shop while you work, you can have the energy and the sex drive for hot steamy sex.

Me after a long day of work then fixing dinner, doing homework and dishes and laundry I JUST WANT SLEEP

12. Well said. And did you notice that he threw away his Viagra pills?

I think because he is having this "affair" with his wife he is not having any trouble getting it up. But before this they showed him popping one of those little blue pills before heading up to one of the bedrooms.
