For Fans of "American Dreams": Help save the show
Renewal of "American Dreams" for a fourth season is going to be a close call. For those of you who are fans of the show, an would like to see it saved, you can send a postcard to the executives at NBC before they make their decision in May.

Send postcards, and not enveloped letters, as apparently the network offices routinely throw out envelopes from regular people since the anthrax scare of 2001.

Tell these NBC executives how much the show means to you, and how much you would hate to lose it.

Jeff Zucker, President, NBC Universal Television
30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY 10112

Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment
3000 W. Alameda Avenue
Burbank, CA 91523

2. I'll do it, too.
And I've never done this before.

Thanks for the information!

3. I'm putting my postcards in the mail today
I know shows can't, and shouldn't, last forever, but I really want to see the characters on this show develop through the most turbulent years of the 1960's. I'd like to see it on the air for another 5 years, but just one more will make me very happy.

5. According to the new TV Guide
Dreams may be over, NBC has moved it to Wednesdays at 8:00 opposite Lost! American Dreams producer said he has already filmed what would be the finale and is prepared to schedule it if the show isn't renewed.:-(

6. This is such a great show
One thing that has happened in my family is that my daughter ( age 20 ) and I watch it together. She asks me questions all the time about those times. It makes her and I closer in many ways.
We talk about the music, the hairstyles ( Meg's is more authentic this year to me), the history, civil rights movement, protests...all that. We even searched the internet to find songs by Ben Taylor
( for those who don't watch, James Taylor/Carly Simon's son who has a minor role)

At least it will be back to back with West Wing.

7. It's a show that encompasses important history while being
entertaining. I lived through this period in history and it's made me reflect on and re-examine the events that happened and how it all affected my life. Sometimes it makes me cry. (I had a friend who was much like Sam who died in Vietnam.) It's too bad quality programs are abandoned in favor of really stupid crap.
