1. I just discovered "Forty Signs of Rain" yesterday.

Now that's two KSR books I'm in the middle of. I'm looking forward to seeing something like "Heavy Weather" genetically recombined with a dialectic analysis of humanity's past, present and future :-)

2. I refuse to start it until the entire series is published....

I REALLY like KSR, and plan to read that series, but I'm so tired of novels that don't end and the next installment doesn't come out until next year-- I don't buy them now until the series is finished.

3. I feel that pain.

I'm holding out for the next paperback, which the publishers always delay releasing, hoping that addicts like me won't be able to wait them out. Sometimes they are right.

if people don't buy the first books, it is entirely possible that the series will not be finished.
