Well, I Decided. Sulu Is THE Coolest STC Character
I was watching Wrath of Khan the other day. In the scene where Genesis is building to detonation, Sulu says "We're not going to make it are we?" Completely calm, collectted and cool. He knows he's about to die and is a calm as a San Diego day!

So, i started thinking about him in the series and in the movies. Man, he was one cool customer. No wonder they made him a captain.

1. Sulu is cool because George Takai is cool
IMO, he wrote the best Star Trek actor biography.

2. Missed opportunity.
He and his ship got a bit role in one movie, when I think they could have easily built a movie around it.

3. I Concur
That scene at the end of Undiscovered Country where he, cool as a cucumber says "Come on, come on." The ensign says "She'll fly apart." Sulu: "Then fly her apart then." An ass-kicking crew with a captain with ice water in his veins.

Could have been a good movie.

7. Sulu, the stoic
Someone (NOT ME) stated that each of the characters represents a famous Greek philosophy.

No, I won't claim to know who else is what. The rest didn't make much sense.
