Ernst Haeckel, 19th C German Darwinist, had a funny description of God

I just cracked up reading this in Richard Dawkin's "The Ancestor's Tale," which I highly recommend, by the way. Haeckel was also an outspoken atheist, as well as a zoologist. He referred to God as "the gaseous invertebrate."
