my thread was locked. Sincerely sorry that I posted against the rules Admins. I just assumed that this group was a refuge for like-minded people to discuss whatever but I see now it's more specific than that. I'll try and be a good girl from now on I promise.

wasn'it? Of course, "positive" would mean here "willing to let go of the crusade and talk about commonalities". As to the "victimization" thing, we might want to take a look at statistics (e.g. longest threads), to have a more precise picture of what it is about... There's an elephant in the room, it would seem.

I don't think the groups should be used to organize against other forums, but I think there SHOULD be a reasonable distinction made between groups in which anyone is permitted to post, versus those groups where only certain positions are allowed.

Believers are more than welcome to come to this group and have their say. It is not a "private" group. The religious groups ARE "private" and therefore it's unfair for them to be able to "pick fights" where others can't respond.

DU admins have to protect the community at large. War was a brewing and they took the steps they felt had to be taken to preserve DU. We are still here. We will still continue to comiserate about matters important to us. And we will still try to come up with plans to take over the world..... er muwahahahahaha :woohoo:

...I took a swing thru some (cough) other groups and noticed that quite a few threads had been locked. Looking thru the recent complaints in here will give an indication of just which ones got shut down. So we aren't being singled out or anything.
