Do they ever pause to think about what they're saying?
Sometimes I just wonder if certain individuals have ever given their beliefs even the most cursory examination before proudly stating them. Then again if they ever thought about it, they'd probably have to do some self-immolation for heresy or other imaginary crime.

1. No, faith and examination are diametrically opposed.
They have spent their lives compartmentalizing faith far away from any sort of questioning. If they start questioning, you see, they are damned.

So no, they don't really listen to any of the rubbish they're spewing.

3. blind devotion doesn't require thinking.
if they had the capacity to question their beliefs, they more than likely wouldn't have those beliefs.

:shrug;

They constantly contradict themselves, and just keep right on going.

Locally (Los Angeles), we have one asstwit who occasionally defends science on his talk show. I think it's just because he wants to be seen as Fair and Balanced (tm).

Yesterday I switched over to his show for a few minutes. He was interviewing a Young Earth Creationist who was spouting such notions as...

--"the speed of light may have changed"
--"seeping ground water can affect carbon dating, so it's really not reliable."

Yay for science!

:rofl:

5. You listen to Xian radio?
That's a punishment I wouldn't wish in my worst enemy.
