Oh, those poor oppressed Christians
Today, I saw a commercial from these people: http://www.alliancedefensefund.org/main/welcome.aspx
Apparently, there is a plague of oppression against god-fearing Amuricans. In the commercial, they urged anyone with problem to call 1 800 TELL ADC.

I think my tolerance for their intolerance is waning. As soon as it was finished, I just blurted out, "bite me".

2. In fact,
that's the oldest trick in the book. Mastered by any pre-schooler. Finding an objective reason for aggression, the best being responding to an aggression by the other ("He started it!") The method, general attitude and behaviors are childish. As the content of the belief.

"He initiated force first!"

4. It seems always to be the fascist fundies who cry, "Persecution!"
The truly religious, who are happy in their faith, aren't the ones complaining.

I'm still amazed that fascist fundies want an earthly reward for their public protestations of faith.

Their "Look at me! I'm a believer!" crap obviously does not reap the rewards they think they deserve.

5. "Damn Dirty Jew! Stop Oppressing Us Aryans!"
Overheard by a Nazi, who along with three others was kicking an old jew while he was curled in a ball in the gutter. Germany circa 1939.

6. Shhh! Don't persecute the Xtians!
Seriously, as I've said before, where would Xtians globally - and here on DU - be without a manufactured sense of persecution? They feel an intrinsic need for persecution, it's the basis of their faith and piety. The martyr complex. If you're not persecuted, you're not Doing Christian properly.

7. For a kick, go check out the "Liberal Faith" group sometime.
Oh my, you'd think they were about to be thrown to the lions.

8. Well, if Nero hadn't been such a damn bleeding-heart liberal...

</sarcasm>

Tag added in case The Wrong Believer pokes his or her head in here. Many of them are not only verbose and thin-skinned, but humor-impaired as well.

10. That was fun! Trostsky, I took your advice...
...and went over to that group.

Found the thread about "Removing Religion & Theology from my groups."

I was LMAO at one comment. Somebody huffed that they were tired of the atheists describing their religion as "myth and superstition."

I was SO tempted to ask for the difference, but managed to restrain myself.

Why is it that questions from Twue Bewievers are "attempts at a meaningful dialogue," but questions from non-believers are "flame-bait?"
