$$$ Desperately Needed for Iowa Gore Concert

I received this e-mail today from Karen Wunderman at algore.org. Please help if you can.

Dear Organizers:

As you know, we have a very important rally and concert planned in Des Moines, Iowa, for Oct. 21st. Everything is place, and the more publicity the event gets, the more interest there is among higher-level people who might sign on if the event becomes big enough. In the meantime, however, we are in desperate need of $1800 by this weekend or we won't be able to pay the money to reserve the hall. We're in a Catch-22 situation because we can't send out the press release until we know for certain that we have enough money for the hall, but we won't get more money without sending out the press release.

Please, if you can send in $10, $20, $50 or more, we desperately need your help. The rally has already been publicized by bloggers, etc., and it won't look good at all if we can't get the funds to follow through. Please do your part to help. We don't have many opportunities left to show Gore our support.

1. Mail can't get there by the weekend

will they front the money till checks arrive?

I just went onto algore.org and nothing was on there from her. She needs to post there also. And on dailykos he has a lot of support over there.

I hope it can be pulled together as there isn't much time. Its times like this you wish things were online because its easy to just post a debit visa card and takes more work to snail mail and time.

on the blog I heard it they were asking how it could be a run al run concert if its after a lot of deadlines?? Were they short money????
