In a recent Gallup poll, 80 percent of Americans said the U.S. should not return to the military draft. Do you think reinstating the draft would be a good idea?

a combination of legitimate concern from a segment of society and about a 100% turnout from bush supporting chickenhawks who always want war and always want someone else to die in them.

10. I wish their poll had a comment window

I think that anytime a nation decides to take military action, the burden should be spread to everyone. That might require conscription or restructured tax system to pay for it. I think it depends on the nature of the conflict and the threat level.

The big issue for me is if you think a fight is necessary, are you willing to put your ass on the line?

If you are going to wage war,it should be more than a censored,scripted video game that few actually fight.It's easy to puff your chest out when you don't have to worry about your butt,or your kid's.

13. 2/3 of Us Do Not Think This Fight is Necessary

A draft would only allow this unnecessary fight to get bigger and engulf the whole region.

If they had more cannon fodder they would have attacked Iran already.
