My last ltte before the elections..I hope it is enough

The Presidential race is coming to a dramatic finish.As a member of Veterans for America and Veterans for Peace,I have studied the voting records of both candidates closely.As the mother of an Iraq War Veteran and the daughter of a WW2 Veteran,the actions of our candidates speak louder to me than their words.
Both candidates claim to support our troops.John McCain,however,has voted time and time again against the interests of our troops and veterans.He voted against increasing funding for veterans' health care in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Since arriving in the U.S. Senate in 1987, McCain has voted at least 28 times against ensuring important benefits for America's veterans, including providing adequate health care.These votes are thoroughly documented at the VoteVets website: http://www.vetvoice.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=1973
The Disabled Veterans of America has given Senator John McCain a rating of 20%,and Senator Barack Obama a rating of 80%.The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America have given Senator McCain a D and Senator Obama a B+.Senator McCain notably voted against increased body armor for our troops and against PTSD and Traumatic brain injury(TBI) funding for our returning veterans.
Until,and after,our troops come home,the support of our President will be crucial.Please consider carefully before voting-my son and dad depend on it.
