YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan — Problems Allied Telesis customers on Yokota are having with receiving commercial calls from off base and the States will continue through early next week, the company said Wednesday.

"We are well into testing the technical solution for solving the inbound calling problem," Allied’s Yokota general manager Bruse Green said.

In a phone interview Wednesday, Green said Allied is paying for all international toll charges made to Yokota resulting from stateside callers using Allied’s temporary automatic attendant phone number, 1-408-519-8616, to reach the base.

People outside Japan can also dial 011-81-34-580-1937, then when prompted dial the customer’s 11-digit number, or dial 011-81-42-552-2510, then at the announcement, dial 97 plus the 11-digit number.

People in Japan can call by dialing 034-580-1937 and, when prompted, dial the customer’s 11-digit number.
