The Industry Reacts: The Plight Of Lil Kim

March 18, 2005-- As her guilty verdict was read on Thursday, rapper Lil Kim reportedly sat stoically, shaking her head from side to side. Meanwhile, throngs of fans flocked to the pint-sized stars sideoutside of the New York Citycourthouse.

When Kim finally broke her silence, her subsequent statement was also void of emotion. "I am disappointed in the verdict. However, I was acquitted of the most serious charge, obstruction of justice. Throughout my life, I have always lived with adversity and will continue to have faith and do good for my family, friends and fans."

Perhaps, some speculate,she expected it.

Well, I think it's interesting because money-wise you would almost think that she was hustling towards this day with this verdict in mind, ponders Miss Info, a radio/TV personality. If you notice over the past months, she inked clothing deals, jewelry deals, worked the front row at Fashion Week, and even taped a quickie makeover show for VH1.

1. Seems like the green-eyed monster has affected
Lil' Kim's "industry" peers.

The perjury conviction is a serious thing, but maybe not compared to..."she inked clothing deals, jewelry deals, worked the front row at Fashion Week, and even taped a quickie makeover show for VH1. from the peer perspective. ;)
