There's something so eerily Rovian about it. And it reminds me WAY too much of what happened to Eliot Spitzer.
See how McCain's attacks on Obama seemed to get more legs and more clout with the MSM in recent weeks? That's not a coincidence:
Rove's buddies have been in charge of the McCain "messaging" campaign since July 2.
For the record, I don't really want JE to be VP. I would much rather that he be AG. And that's what's making me think of Spitzer, an AG himself.
I'm afraid the Repugs are taking the lessons they learned from the successful takedown of Spitzer (whatever the extent they had a hand in it), and trying to keep JE from being a viable member of Obama's cabinet.
I wasn't counting on so many people believing what the
National Enquirer says. That already shows that, if it is a concerted effort to discredit JE, it's been successful beyond my worst nightmares.
IF we want JE to keep fighting for us, we HAVE to stand up for him. If we want not to have another voice for good silenced forever, we HAVE to defend him.
If anybody knows of any ties this Rielle has to Rove,
anything connected to Rove, Freedom's Watch, you name it, we need to know. Was she on the staff of any recent Republican campaign? Were those "six figures" for her work actually from the JE campaign... or did they come from somebody else, somebody more nefarious, somebody with a keen interest in taking JE out of the picture?
