My theory about That Story (tm).
Edited on Fri Aug-01-08 02:08 AM by MonteLukast
There's something so eerily Rovian about it. And it reminds me WAY too much of what happened to Eliot Spitzer.

See how McCain's attacks on Obama seemed to get more legs and more clout with the MSM in recent weeks? That's not a coincidence: Rove's buddies have been in charge of the McCain "messaging" campaign since July 2.

For the record, I don't really want JE to be VP. I would much rather that he be AG. And that's what's making me think of Spitzer, an AG himself.

I'm afraid the Repugs are taking the lessons they learned from the successful takedown of Spitzer (whatever the extent they had a hand in it), and trying to keep JE from being a viable member of Obama's cabinet.
I wasn't counting on so many people believing what the National Enquirer says. That already shows that, if it is a concerted effort to discredit JE, it's been successful beyond my worst nightmares.

IF we want JE to keep fighting for us, we HAVE to stand up for him. If we want not to have another voice for good silenced forever, we HAVE to defend him.

If anybody knows of any ties this Rielle has to Rove, anything connected to Rove, Freedom's Watch, you name it, we need to know. Was she on the staff of any recent Republican campaign? Were those "six figures" for her work actually from the JE campaign... or did they come from somebody else, somebody more nefarious, somebody with a keen interest in taking JE out of the picture? Somebody

1. Here's my theory:
Where is the National Enquirer's biggest distribution?

What company was John Edwards saying under pays its workers?

Wasn't John Edwards calling for an Open Media?

Who had the most Union/Labor Support?

Kinda makes you think.

6. I looked at one of those links and I think I need pepto bismol now.
http://paganpower.wordpress.com/2008/07/21/why-the-denver-group-is-so-important/

"All she wants is for John to marry her and have their baby"... :puke:

What a STUPID thing to say. She's no better than Bridget Moynahan who thought that having Tom Brady's baby would keep him with her. Why do women still think, after PILES of evidence to the contrary, that this is a good way to seal the deal on a relationship?

Unless, of course, her purpose is to blackmail JE and smear him politically, which is far more likely.

Googling Wal-Mart and "rielle" gets you thousands of hits... :puke: Oh, if only I could find some evidence she worked for them in some fashion...

7. Thanks For This Info... Will This EVER STOP?? This Floated Around While
he was still running and somehow NOW it's being pushed again! This is only ONE of the reasons I can't bear to do THIS STUFF anymore! I wonder when this country will finally open it's eyes and stop and do some REAL THINKING!! We are looked upon by so many other countries as running around with our heads in the sand, and I feel many of them are spot on!!

I just checked in to take a "look-see" at DU-President and there is YET AGAIN a thread all about JOHN EDWARDS and his new baby!! It's too much to take. One poster even stated that he could NEVER vote for a man who cheated on his wife while she had cancer!! Sound familiar??

Oh, why do I bother?? But thanks WFH, you and several others are such noble die-hards... I applaud you!

5. Who's "Lisa Druck"?
So Rielle changed her name?

I'm not clear on something: this judgment looks like it was in the context of a divorce; was it something else?
