More Movie Fun from the Library of Congress (Virginia locale).
You never know where you are going to find classic movies. I found that out firsthand this weekend when I went to see Love Me Tonight, a rarely seen pre-code classic, at the Library of Congress's Mount Pony theater in Culpeper, Virginia. The house was packed, the print was good, the staff enthusiastic, and of course there was a two-reeler to open up the proceedings. Woo-hoo!

About the theater:

Current film schedule, with more to come, particularly over the holidays:

Okay, so where is Culpeper?

Classic movie fans in Virginia and the region, take note!

1. I've long wanted to see "Love Me Tonight".
It's now available on DVD, available from Amazon. Shame that the falling Aussie dollar makes it
very expensive for me, but I might have to bite the bullet anyway, because it will never be released
here, I'm sure.

I also have "The Love Parade" and "One Hour With You" on my list, but they seem to have disappeared
from the radar completely. My mother took me to see "One Hour With You" when I was very young, and
I have a clear memory of the opening sequence, but nothing else.
