Good biology books for teens.
I'd recommend "Molecular Biology of the Cell" by Alberts. It's often used as a college text, but my 13 year old son is finding it interesting. Some of the details are just too advanced for someone his age, but it's proving to be helpful in generalities. And, the details make him curious.

Curiousity and interest are good things, imo.

It's probably already been recommended here, but I'd also recommend "Our Bodies, Our Selves" for pre-teen and teen girls.
