arrgh red ring of death for the second time
And it's just out of the three year extended warranty, although since this is the second time, I still think I shouldn't have to pay for it.

And I just had the big Twitter/Last.fm/Facebook update, too. Crap.

If this happens again, I'm just going to buy a whole new console just to get a new warranty. Bugger.

1. They're still taking RROD repairs, IIRC.
I went through 3 myself. :( Hang in there.

2. And I just got Ghostbusters from Gamefly!
I can just hope that the shipping label gets here before I go out of town for a week...

3. I love Gamefly. Just got Marvel Alliance 2.
Fun game, especially co-op with a friend--if you like that Gauntlet-style smashy game. :D

Good luck with Microsoft. I spent 3 hours with them on the phone last week for a simple part, so I'm still bitter.

4. So, I think I found a good solution
Apparently all the new systems have a new chip that addresses the RROD problems. So, instead of sending in my old console, i may just but a brand new arcade system and stick the old hard drive on it.

5. ...and that was the solution!
Back up and gaming again. Well, not right now, I'm in Indiana on a job, but when I get home...

6. Yeah, it was a chipset problem IIRC.
Sorry to hear it cost you, but glad to hear you're up and gaming again! :hi:
