A good way to sharpen your skills and kill some time.

1. If there are any DU chess players who want to play online, I'll play at either FICS or RHP.

FICS = Free Internet Chess Server

http://freechess.org

Accounts are free! You can either play directly through their web page (requires Java), or through a front end program, for which I highly recommend the freeware Babaschess:

http://babaschess.net

Unfortunately Babaschess is only available for Windows. The Java version of FICS will work on MacOS, Linux/Unix, as well as Windows.

If you join, PM me here and we can arrange to play.

RHP = http://redhotpawn.com

RHP requires a (one time) fee of about 20 bucks to join. It emphasizes correspondence type games that take 1-3 days per move, although it does have a sub-site where you can play time control games.
