This "higher vibration" thing . . .
that the PC has spoken of--would it be correct for me to see this as simply more activity in my own life? My employment situation changed in January--my husband and I both lost the contract work we'd been doing for years--and yet I've been more out-and-about and *busier* than I have been in several years. Going to job search-related workshops, getting somewhat involved again in theater, which I haven't done in years; more involvement with my Unitarian church. It seems that significant changes are afoot in my life, both taking me back to past passions and making me roll forward toward new goals. All seems to be in flux. It's a little frightening and a little exhilarating and a lot confusing! Is that a manifestation of the higher vibration, any thoughts?

6. It cetainly sounds like what my understanding of the higher...
vibration is. My understanding is that you'd be following your passion, which seems to be what's happening for you.

7. Well, I'm certainly revisiting my own past, not sure if it's still my passion.
But I'm just kind of agog at the physical energy that has come into my life. Largely due to being unemployed, of course, but just seems like lots of things are happening right now. I've spent the last five years sitting in front of a computer, doing a particular job, and now that's gone, so I've been forced to get off my duff and get out into the world again.

I definitely feel like I'm vibrating!!

8. We Americans conflate "worthiness" and "progress" with "employment"
Is it the Protestant work ethic? The attempt to achieve the "American dream"? I don't know. All I do know is it's easier to be "in" our lives and a part of society when we're not stuck doing the same thing in the same place for eight hours straight, even when that "employment" serves society.

Personal story: Waaaay back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I was a high school English teacher. For one year. LOL--it was not for me. The job I had was not in my hometown, and I had a year's lease on my apartment, which was quite nice and very inexpensive. So although my parents wanted me to come right home as soon as I finished attending my seniors' graduation parties, I decided to stay through the end of my lease (October). I had had no expenses during the school year, so I had quite a bit of money saved--I didn't need to find a job that summer. I shopped at the book outlet, I visited the small New Age store in town quite a bit, I spent time with the friends I had made at the school. But most of all I stayed in that hot little apartment and wrote stories, meditated, wrote in my journal, practiced magic as best I could (this was before I even had met anyone involved in the esoteric arts), and read everything I could get my hands on, mostly about magical basics and shamanism. Late in the summer I was gifted with a sort of solitary initiation, which was quite dramatic and awesome (in the true meaning of the word).

So I learned from that experience that enforced "downtime" is often imposed upon us for a reason. Enjoy your free time, Habibi. Follow your nose, follow your heart, and watch your vibration rise. It's way cool. :hi:

9. Ah, but you see, the last five years have encompassed a lot of "down time"
just due to the nature of the work I've been doing. So I think I'm done with "down time" for the nonce (how's that??). It seems to be one of those things where--you get busy, and then you get busier, and before you know it, your life is filled with interesting stuff. Ack. Maybe I can explain it better after I've had some rest. It's been a tiring transition, and I think it's just beginning! I just feel so much more *engaged* now than I have in the last few years. I'm more, I dunno--awake?

10. I'd say you are in the midst of the Shift for you
and you are doing well by staying busy and ENJOYING the time--that part is critical. Look on this as a time of opportunity and creativity and joy--and things will even out. Attitude has a great deal to do with how things manifest, I believe.
