I found this a while back, and thought it was uniquely appropriate.

You are the Light of the World
... and as such, you are here to use your light to heal,
transform and transfigure anything unlike peace, love, harmony and goodwill.

That we all may have
moments of peace ... and more peace.

Rather than impose your will upon conditions of lack, disease or suffering.
... choose instead to think, feel and emote from an outcome in which
anything unlike what is preferred simply does not exist.

It cannot exist in your experience if you decide to not entertain it.
In doing so, you create a Quantum overlay of
preferred possibilities & probable futures.

You are the Light of the World.
You do not need the World’s permission to shine your light upon the dark.
The light releases you from joining others in
seductive, lower energy vibrations.

Use your light to simply transform lower energies.
This is how you heal yourself ... and the World.

This is how you create moments of peace
... and more peace still.
Light cannot injure light.
Light is injured by nothing Light heals all.
In the midst of shining your light you are immune to lower energies.
You don’t heal people by getting them to “get it.”

You don’t heal unwanted situations with people by “teaching them a lesson.”
Just stand in the midst of all that you resist
and instead of letting judgment take you over,
put your entire focus upon the Light.

The Light will prevail.
You don’t have to do anything more than this.
Bringing peace to the World is what you are here to do.
Just Shine Your Light.
You know where your inner Light switch is...

Turn it on!
You heal and transform the entire World around you by turning ON your light!
You don’t have to warn the darkness that you are coming
with the light.

I do have a request, which seems really petty after reading that opening. Yet I'll ask.

I moved into a much smaller space. I've already taken a big box to Goodwill and given away a few things. I need to sell several things. This involves photographing and posting on craigslist, etc. The drill.

I'm selling my massage table. I've kept my license up for five years and never practiced professionally. It is up for renewal at the end of the month and I just don't have the $500-$700 needed to renew. It's time to let that go. It's the right decision.

I haven't gotten any responses to the ad for the table yet. I can't find a retail price for another item that was a gift (from ex-bf), so I don't know what to charge. (It's a chimenea. Is there a group on DU that could give me info on that?) The washer and dryer are covered over with boxes so I can't photog them yet. This is a major overhaul of my belongings and myself. I just don't need this much stuff, but. There's no one-step solution.

I'm not sure what I need. Perseverance and serendipity for the right people to see my ads and come on by to follow through.

I have been working with LED bulb manufacturers for over a year now. We almost have all the right bulbs and tubes. I have finished more than half of the proposal and sales materials. Sometime this month (no date has been set) I am to meet with some different venture capitalists. Please send me the light and energy to see this light project through to completion...and that you will all see (buy) them at your local store.

95. I need lot's of light and encouragement tonight,

as well as the next few weeks. I'm quitting smoking(again!, 3rd time in the past two years.) I've been cold turkey for 48 hrs. now, and it's getting harder. One thing that helps is that I haven't got the price of a pack of cigs until my next S.S check on the 3rd of Sept. I'm finding that a "trick" my Dad told me about helps. I keep a soda straw cut to the size of a cig. in my mouth, and hold it in my fingers when I'm not typing. I'm inhaling a lot of air, but it's something to do!!:smoke: :shrug: :rofl: :rofl: It also helps to spend a lot of time sleeping, as well as weeding out my garden beds!! Thanks!

Their little dog is still missing, stolen while they were on vacation. The theft even made the local news in NJ. Now they have had to go home without the dog, and the whole family is hearbroken.

I had a really difficult time when my wisdom teeth were removed, but my sister went to a party the same night that she had hers removed. It's weird how different the experience can be for different people. Mine weren't impacted either. I couldn't eat solid foods for a week but then I'm super-sensitive in reference to pain.

...I will be bringing you in my heart to my Church women's group tomorrow, so that when I pray you will be carried into the circle of light here too...Tahoe is a Healing place, and Hope is the name of my church... Funny, we are studying the book of Job right npow and it is very fitting to the struggles of shift and keeping our eyes fixed on praise and joy!

(and though I realize some may not feel good about christianity, this little slice of compassion and light has welcomed me and helped me reconcile with the Christ in a really sweet way. So please know you are safe and held in loving arms, regardless of the dogma. Hell, they accepted ME and all my crazy ideas! lol) :grouphug:

My request is that I am still looking for the correct home for myself and three kids.(I posted a while back, and on July's prayer thread about the situation of having to move)
I would love to find a home with a loft or den so that we can "create" an extra bedroom (need 4, can only get funding for 3) We have a section 8 and though it actually guarantees rent for the owner, many are biased against the 'welfare' stigma. We can only afford $1300 a month. I want a place that we can settle and not be moving again in a year (maybe 3?or so)...someplace where the yard is already established somewhat ( w/grass and not wood chips or pine needles!) and I won't have to 'make-do' or clean too much before even moving in. It would be good to have a woodstove, and good weatherproofing too...not too hard to shovel, either.

I just want to feel safe and at home and have space for my family to play. So, now we wait for the right and best place to be revealed. A-ho!

59. Major knee pain

I have misaligned kneecaps that I thought I had finally got under control to the point I was exercising regularly for the first time since I fouled them up to begin with years ago. Well I don't know what the *(&#($*&#*$ I did but they are killing me today. They hurt so bad when I went grocery shopping this morning that I had to take excedrin even tho it chews up my gut. I couldn't must have taken my tylenol out of my purse which isn't quite so horrid to my stomach. :banghead: I am hoping to go the rest of the day without either but if it's too bad I will risk the burning gut of tomorrow to keep the pain at bay now. I HATE taking meds but at times like this I envy people who's docs prescribe heavy duty pain pills at the drop of a hat. I am such a wimp when it comes to pain :( I have been doing so good about exercising 6 days a week that hate to take an extra day or more off to let my knees recover from what the heck provoked them for fear I will fall out of the habit. I have some excess weight I am trying to loose or at least reduce until I reach the top end of the healthy body fat % range for my age & height.

Also i think I ate something that doesn't agree with me. I have multiple food issues and from my symptoms I must have encountered some gluten (protein found in wheat, rye, oats, & barley) somewhere so I have a headache that the excdrin and reiki won't touch plus some other unpleasant symptoms. I hope I can figure out what caused this or at least it goes away soon or i will start wondering if I am sensitive to something else now.

And a suggestion: I'm doing the workout dvd 30 day shred at the moment; and she says that boxing punches can be done if you have any lower body injury - great cardio. So maybe just sit on the couch and do a few minuites of punches? It'll keep some fat burning going on without any lower body stress.

66. I have been doing in home walking tapes

Leslie Sansone is about the only exercise tape I have the coordination for and it's low impact. No squats or lunges which severely aggrivate my knees. The only slightly questionable thing is the kicks which I modify by keeping my knee slightly bent and simply lifting my entire leg as much as comfortable. I started slow with very small range of motion until these days I am moving just about where the people on the tape are. This is the first cardio workout I want to do because it is so simple I can do it without thinking and tripping over my own feet. I only need to concentrate on moving as fast and far as I comfortably can. Having done this for oh close to two months now I don't know what triggered this unless it was the extra stretching I did yesterday. I did a few things I normally don't to and stretched deeper. I *never* stretch into the pain zone but I guess my knees need me to be extra careful here too :(

I have a tae bo instructional tape I picked up for 99 cents at the Goodwill. Maybe I will try that. I hit the jackpot there today finding two Leslie Sansone walking tapes I didn't have for $1.99! I hope they are in good shape for when I start up again in a day or two going extra slow.

Have you tried some water therapy? just floating or gentle movement in water could help too, takes the gravity pull off the body & bones. I think that gravity has been a little rough on some of us lately too!

Here's what I recommend: Aleve for pain, if you haven't tried that stuff already. I think it's better for pain than acetaminophen. Glucosamine/Chondritin, as much as you can take (really helped me with knee pain). Invest in the good stuff, it's so worth it. Collagen. I started using that last month and I think it's helped with bone ache.

You might want to speak with your provider about pain management for flare-ups like this. All best.

67. I believe naproxen sodium is supposed to be harder on the gastro system than actiminiphen (sp?)

Glucosamine & chondrotin make me want to hurl within 30 minutes of taking it plus has another unpleasant side effect on me. Collagen I haven't tried but I will look into it.

What *has* been working for me up until today was serrazimes. It is a protelytic enzyme that reduces inflamnation, is believed to help clear out the debris from the joint, and doesn't give me any side effects. It even helps my lower back which has bothered me since I was a kid hurt worse not long before I fouled up my knees. I only take one a day but I got mobility back whereas before any acitivity that had me bend over lasting more than a minute or two would put me into spasms. I had to get one of those dustpans on a stick like my Grandmothers use. My back has improved to the point I can do some strengthening exercises without irritating my back in the process. While I am not nearly 100% to be able to do so much more than before is a grand thing.

As for the pain I will make myself take it easy a couple of days, maybe more and dig out my spirits of camphor. That helps the pain but doesn't give me a burning sensation like the stuff in ben gay or the hot pepper type creams.

81. Thank you all!!! Knees much better but now I over did something else :o

nothing major but I overcompesnated a bit focusing on upper body work and now my shoulders ache :banghead:. I know better. I know better. I really, really do but I keep doing boneheaded things and overworking myself in one way or another. I need to figure out why besides the obvious wish to not regain the 45lbs I already released and have been stalled at for over 3 months now. That is only the surface issue and minor in comparison. There is something deeper down inside that is yanking my own chains. Maybe I will feel up to excavating some tomorrow and see what turns up.

BTW I did a 1 mile walking workout today and was fine. I did it slow and easy with much smaller range of motion than my usual to get me gently back into motion. Hopefully it was the excessively deep stretching that trigger my pain so that I only need to avoid going too deep and can get back up to my usual 3 miles soon!

I haven't even seen the inside yet, but the owner chose us out of several applicants, said our kitty was fine woith no additional deposit, and lowered the rent $50 to allow for section 8 !!!!

First, a friend's baby, little Coral has hydroencephalitis (water on the brain) she was born Thiursday and her next checkup is wed...if the fluid isn't being reabsorbed or moving they will probably push her to have a shunt put in - we don't want that! so lets seer that baby's brain region flowing freely and her body reabsorbing the fluid back to normal! thanks

and lastly, I don;t need to remind all of us to continue to hold peace over the lands in turmiol. Prayers for the mothers, children, elderly and families broken in these horrific times. Pray it doesn't get worse, pray that the light cn overcome the shadow as we head towards this illusion of a eclipse...amen

He's my SO, and hasn't posted in over a year due to PTSD from the first Gulf War which was rekindled by my working and his living with me in Mississipppi for about 2 years after Katrina. He's fighting/juggling a lot of demons right now and could use all the positive energy he can get these days.

Stuffy head, a touch of vertigo when I bend over or otherwise tilt my head, swollen glands below the jaw. I put myself olive leaf extract, good ole peroxide in the ears, and extra vitamin C hoping it will head things off in the early stages.

94. Housework procrastination & my get up and go has got up and gone without me

I keep putting things off for later and by the time later arrives my molehill has, in my eyes, turned into a mountain and I just want to give up because I don't know where to begin. I have been a master procrastinator for years and I need to take myself by the scruff of the neck and like Nike used to say Just Do IT!

I feel awful stupid and silly for asking for help with something so trivial. everyone does housework so I don't know why I make it into such a fuss and put it off unless I am terminally lazy :( If anyone feels this is worthy of some good vibes please send me some de-procrastination vibes and vibes to break this bad habit and create a good habit of taking care of stuff promptly in it's place.

Would it help if you made a list of things that you need to do and just tackle one thing each day? After doing that, find some small way to reward yourself for the completion of the task.

That sometimes works for me. The other thing is what japple said. My husband has a student come to our house every Saturday for a meditation class. He doesn't care how the place looks before she comes, but I do. Therefore, that always spurs me on to do a few things to make the place look more respectable. (It never looks really bad, but I'd still prefer that there not be a build-up of dust on the furniture or the carpet have visible dirt on it.)
