The President's Speech Tomorrow Night?
Edited on Wed Apr-27-05 07:14 PM by Me.
Tomorrow night, * is going to give a 12-15 minute speech at approx. 8:30pm eastern time. He is expected to blame all the problems getting SS passed, Bolton, the ethics issues etc., on the democrats. He is going to accuse them of being obstructionists. Will he be successful or will it backfire?

1. I am so sick of him!!
I hadn't heard about this speech. Sounds petty and like it will backfire. How many stations will even carry it if all it is about is blaming the Democrats?

2. I found the story
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050428/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_news_conference

I can't imagine all the stations carrying this. No one wants to hear more of his sales pitch on Social Security. Let Fox carry it and one network station and people can go listen if they want to. No one wants to miss their regular programing to have Bush forced into their living room. I don't see any big transits that suggest a big success for him.

3. The Thing That Concerns Me
is that the main focus of the speech is to shift all the blame for what has been going wrong for him on the dems. He's scapegoating again, in his typically brutish way. The thinking is to turn the tables on the dems and force them to accede to his wishes. I too am sick and tired of this bastard and his destructive ways.

4. George's major transits over the next year
Edited on Thu Apr-28-05 02:08 AM by Dover
Mars is currently entering his 8th House (shared resources, sex, death, taxes, social security, etc.)

Transformation *
Valid during several weeks: Basically your ego drives will create a confrontation with something, which will force a transformation of some kind in your life. For example, you may encounter someone who has a powerful effect upon you and causes you to change. This may happen through a conflict with this person, or he or she may gain influence over you and thereby affect you strongly. In a marriage or love relationship, the two of you may disagree strongly on the management of jointly held resources. It is also quite likely that the two of you will use your joint resources, particularly money, rather foolishly and wastefully. The sum total of all of your experiences at this time will lead to either great or small ways of transforming the ways in which you assert yourself in the world.

Mars in the 8th House 8
activity period from 27 April 2005 until beginning of June 2005

_____________________________________

Pluto Trine Med.Coeli (Midheaven)
activity period from middle of January 2005 until beginning of November 2006.

For the common good ***
Valid during many months: During this time gradual changes will take place in your life that will make you more aware of the external and internal forces that make your life move in certain directions. You will gain great psychological insight into yourself and others at this time, and you will go below surface appearances to seek out the fundamental elements of any issue.
This is also a time when you may gain power over others in some way, either in your personal or your professional life. You may be given the authority to direct a project or a group of people working together. However, you should be aware that you are acting as an agent of forces that transcend your own individuality, and that everything you do must be for the common good, or it will be to no avail.

Sometimes the power can take a form that has nothing to do with authority. It may be that your own personality becomes powerful from within, making you a person of moral influence. Without even being aware of the process yourself, you speak with wisdom and others heed what you say. People may be drawn to you, fascinated by your energy and power. Of course this confers the greatest possible responsibility upon you, because you can misuse this power, but the consequences for you would not be good!

Under this influence you may choose to undergo psychotherapy or work with other mind- expanding disciplines in order to increase your self-understanding. In your professional life you may feel that you have a very significant task to perform at this time, one that is far more important than your usual work. You feel that your work could transform the whole nature of your career, not only for yourself but for others in the same field. You have a much greater sense of purpose in your work than usual. If you take the time to communicate this in detail to others, you can be really effective. But if you assume that your insight is obvious and that everyone else sees what you see, you will become isolated from those who could help, and therefore you will be ineffective.

5. I think that his speech tonight is going to focus on our
dependence on foreign oil.

I thought that Anwar was already a done deal but, perhaps he's trying to ensure that that vote goes his way.

Seems like in May things are going to begin to get a bit more wild.

10. Hard Isn't It
to "hold him in the light"? And while I do know it is a news conference, there is a 10-15 min. prologue, or perhaps harangue would be a better word, that is supposed to focus on the dems. Most of the astrologers I spoke to today, say that teflon coating is still in place for tonight and he may get a small bounce. Which as we all know will be read as a confirmation of his mandate and he will then continue to push his ugly agenda.

I mean, all the world's ills are caused by those darn freedom hating terra-ists ....

7. As We Are Now Approaching May
I hope whatever he says or whoever he blames comes back to bite him in the A**. His numbers are falling and I dearly hope the people of this country will not accept him passing the blame, once again, for the problems he has created. It's more than time for his chickens to come home to roost and I'm hoping tonight may be the beginning of that. It makes me furious that we keep getting things shoved down our throats just because HE wants them. I hope the S.O.B. gets burned tonight.

~end of rant~

I doubt it will help him at all. There's nothing new here, and people won't be happy to have their shows preempted for nothing.

11. If he tries to blame everything on the Dems, they need to come out swingin
Edited on Thu Apr-28-05 05:15 PM by loudsue
All of 'em, in FORCE, talking about the lies, stealing, and how the repukes have TOTAL control of everything...all branches since 1994 (except the presidency), and how in the hell can they blame it on dems??

If he does do this , all it tells me is that he knows the stock market is about to TANK, big time, (which it appears is coming) and he's trying to get out in front of the stampede to act like he's leading a parade (against the dems). It's about to be 1929 all over again, and he's trying to throw the blame.

12. All That
and the fact that he is a whiny, brat faced, little pustule who can not take responsibility for the wrongs he and his evil puppeteer Rove have done. I am watching the market and it was down to 10070 today. I'm waiting to see it dip under 10,000. That, in my opinion, is when all hell starts to break loose.

13. I was trying to find a poll
around here that said ..disapproval for revamping SS was high.

It's like the march to Baghdad..they aren't going to stop until they do it or the Americans knock them off their self inflated pedestal.

14. I saw most of it. He didn't say anything new.
He is finally acknowledging we need to get over our dependence on foreign energy but he really didn't say how. He just skips right over alternative energy in one sentence. He seemed peaceful and above the fray. Reminded me a bit of Reagan, distant from the struggles, not too bright, but affable. He really said nothing of much import, and I would think people would be irritated to have this forced on all the networks. That should be saved for something signficiant. It was the same old Social Security lecture as well. The most striking thing about the whole thing was how insignficant it was given he demanded prime time.

17. Yes, I noticed that. No one laughed. Less pandering?
He seemed pretty mellow though. Maybe they have found just the right dose of xanox. He didn't seem drugged, but much more peaceful than usual. I kept waiting for some real proposal about the problems he mentioned. But just nothing!
