BA - You might want to check on the article I did a few posts ago on the coming bush recession. I think it will hit hard at the end of 2008, and with Pluto opposite US Venus for the following two years, and Saturn joining it in square to US Venus in late 2009 and 2010, I think the next few years will be very challenging economically, likely starting around November or December 2008, and possibly launched by some sudden upsetting events.

Robert – When Pluto opposes the US Venus it will also oppose Obama’s Venus from12/08 to 11/09. When Saturn joins in, it will be square to both Obama’s Venus and the US Venus and conjunct the US MC. I think that will be a severely difficult time for both him and the country, which suggests he might be in office at the time. (11/09 to 8/2010, both Saturn and Pluto in hard aspect to US Venus; Saturn to Obama Venus)
But he will have an enduring progressed Jupiter quincunx to his Node for many years through 2012, with progressed Venus conjunct the Node through 3/2009 and several other Venus progressions that suggest he stays popular at least through a first term.

One interesting thing is the transit of Uranus opposite his Mars that will begin in 5/08 and go through 3/09, followed by converse Mars conjunct converse Uranus 4/09 to 4/2011. These will give him the necessary courage and aggression and chutzpah. We will see a more aggressive Obama starting in May, but with the strong Venus going on, it won’t be ugly. These Mars/Uranus aspects are important in the midst of such a strong Venus. Interestingly, his progressed Sun will conjunct the US Venus from 12/2012 to 12/2013, possibly indicating a second term. Timing is everything. Hillary has had progressed Sun opposite US Venus but it just began to wane in the past few weeks. I am sure I will do more on him or whoever gets the nomination as time goes on.

3. "progressed Moon square Nodes"

For those concerned about John McCain’s free pass from the press and his rising polls in the midst of the Democrats high-pitched nomination battle, have no fear. McCain’s (8/29/3;Cocosolo, Panama; 8:37 AM) best days will continue to unfold through May 3 due to progressed Moon conjunct natal Venus, followed by a brief boost toward the end of June through July 12 due to progressed Moon square to the newly waning progressed Jupiter/progressed Node. After that, he is likely to run into increasing difficulties. July 8 through 18 will bring Saturn conjunct his Sun, and July 1 through July 20 will bring converse Moon opposite his natal Saturn. He is likely to seem old, possibly have some health issues, or simply run into significant obstacles impacting his candidacy by mid-July due to these aspects.

September may bring the sudden eruption of health issues out into the open (Uranus conjunct 6th house Saturn) for McCain, and early October may reveal either some dishonesty or lack of reality in McCain’s presentations. Any illusion that he could win is likely to begin to slip away by October, with transiting Saturn conjunct his Neptune. The Saturn station opposing his natal Saturn from November 6 through mid-February 2009 suggests he is tired and perhaps ill after a long campaign, but there is nothing to imply a victory of any sort.

But she'll be thoroughly insecure by mid May right through till August.
