I have gotten myself into a bad downward spiral regarding finances. I can't make outgoing calls on my land line -- behind in payments. Cell phones (personal AND work) were just cut off. The heat was shut off several days ago. I'm sitting here with my stomach in knots, feeling shaky, and want to burst into tears, but I know that that is NOT the way to change things.

If you could spare a good though or two, I would greatly appreciate it. I know things will get better (nothing stays the same forever, right?), but a little mental and spiritual uplifting would be so very helpful right now.

1. For your business

have you tried the SBA (small business administration) Since you are a new company, I think you still have many options. You have to create a business plan and projection for 3 years and make sure you incorporate a salary for yourself. Many of us are apprehensive of paying ourselves. With that, there is something called SCORE and there is often quite good advice and assistance, especially for women & minorities.
Women small biz development centers where they can help you with obtaining a business loan.
Your State may also have some programs.

wow, I can start by telling you what a tailspin I was in before. I got laid off then I couldn't find a job because a lien showed up on my credit and all of a sudden I went from having perfect credit to being judged on it. Had to live off my credit cards, I fell behind on my house payments, I had to file a bk, lost my car, lost my credit cards, I kept my house BUT.................

I learned some valuable lessons and decided that I was not going to feel despondent and there WAS a light at the end of the tunnel. Things finally started to turn around for me just in November of last year, funny, this guy told me I was in one of my WORST years numerically speaking and when he told me that, I felt so damn relieved. This was in June of 06, when I was in the thick of all my woes. I knew something was not quite right. He told me if I could survive all the bullshit, I would be good to go and things would start to change in November. Maybe you are in a similar cycle?

We are all god's children and what we think will manifest. We must always KNOW we are meant to be whatever we want to be. Go watch the secret or get Florence Scovel Shinn's book.....

Here is a saying I use from Ms. Schinn that I carry around with me on an index card

"I choose wise, I prepare for my good. I take the giant swing into faith, everyday at all times under grace and in a perfect way."

as for me, well shit happens, and we move on, we learn, we take from the lesson and become stronger and better than ever!! because you know its not just you. Because its really easy to beat ourselves up and blame everything on ourselves and think this is only happening to us. So now is the time to start taking the steps needed to right your ship. What can you start today that can change the momentum? I am the POSTER child for this kinda thing in the past year!!! As I am sure you know from my numerous postings. I am so sorry, and I do know EXACTLY how that feels.

I kept wondering why I was being hit over the head with extreme examples of lack in my life. I believe the only peace I foumd and way I changed it; was to let go. This is extremely hard for me to do because I am such a control freak. There's an article about this I posted on the manifestation thread. Also, I really sat down here at my laptop and wrote out a few affirmations about my life and finances. It works well for me here because I can just pull up the file and have it sitting open there all day - to go and look at whenever I feel like it. Much easier for me than using my cramped pen hand and a sheet of paper.
This seems to have really moved the processes along for me. HOwever, I don't know if it will work for you as well of course. It really came down to me identifiying the thing that was causing me to NOT let go. Then, I had to ask very clearly (I did this out loud) for exactly what I wanted, adding the qualifier on the end "this or something even better" or "the best for all concerned" (you know).
I do,now that I think about it, believe I had to also set some boundaries with some people in my life.
Seems that since I did that, things are a-happenin' at quite the quick pace.

People here have blessed me with help and it has been so wonderful for me. This was another of my lessons-to learn to ask for help when I needed to and to not be ashamed. I have a lot of pride as a Leo and an Southern Irish Cherokee woman, and I had to learn where to put that.

25. I've got some "stuff" going on too -- what has helped me a LOT is

The Sedona Method, and I posted a lot of info on it in another thread here in this forum. It takes not that long at all to do (release your emotions, let them evaporate on their own) -- and when you have let your negative emotions evaporate, you clear the way for -- well, for everything. You clear the way for feeling the comfort and hearing the guidance and allowing the abundance.

I've been utilizing it quite a bit (tho not as much as I'd like) and am very pleased with the results so far, and the process.

I recommend getting the book, but I think there's enough info in my thread to get your started IF releasing your fear(s) and whatever else is lurking in there sounds like a good idea.

SeattleGirl, check your home energy assistance program for your state. I think you can find out about it through the utility company. In fact, I'm surprised they didn't tell you about it when they shut off your heat. And hey, wait a second--isn't there a law against shutting off the heat in the winter? I know in my state there is.

Anyway, I think you can get the heat turned on by going to the home energy assistance people. They are set up for shut-offs like this. Please call your utility company and ask them!
