At noon Greenwich time, December 31, 1986, men, women and children around the world gathered to participate in the most comprehensive prayer activity in history - a planetary affirmation of peace, love, forgiveness and understanding involving millions of people in a simultaneous global mind link. The purpose: to reverse the polarity of the negative force field in the race of mind, achieve a critical mass of spiritual consciousness, and usher in a new era of Peace on Earth. Since that time, each year, December 31st, noon Greenwich time (6:00 AM CST), organizations around the world have continued to observe the World Healing Day. UCOH holds our own World Healing Day and Global Peace Meditation, hosted by the Chaplain Team. Our prayers join together with the prayers of millions around the world as we pray for God's love and grace to heal the hearts and minds of all people around the world.

5. Wow, Rumpel ..

This is all very encouraging. If prayer and meditation will defeat the darkness, we are on a roll! ;)

I believe the sunrise sunset meditation is Ayurvedic and kept a people at peace with themselves for thousands of years.

#3 . "Wherever Whenever" reminded me of some info Lil'D posted about 'gowords' (that's not it, but I can't recall). I read the intro to that material and what stuck with me was the one word "Together". I use this sometimes in traffic. I'm so practical. I'm going to start using it at home, now that I think of it. In my jungian bent mind, that says to me that I am launching a prayer to Universal Spirit, which is all of us, "Together". We can do it together. We are together .. we have gathered. I don't know if it changes universal consciousness, but it changes mine.

#4 . For whatever reason, I'm finding a shift in myself. This forum, for one, and many other great resources, helps me focus on peaceful intentions. Forgiveness. You will never see *evil* forgive anything. I'm glad you viewed the youtube on http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=245x33109 . I hope more get to see it. For those who haven't, it is about one plain man who goes through the day returning no anger, absorbing no anger, eventually it changes the world. I found it profound.

I glanced over the 'results'. Found it interesting someone is actually testing this. I'll look at that more closely later.

It looks hopeful, Rumpel. If Love can conquer all, we've got a rolling start. We have found the Source of Love. May it be so for All. Together.

very hopeful. This past year I was profoundly moved by how many people are involved and on "the path of enlightenment", if you will. :)
and in every sector of society!

That piece on youtube reminded me of the "hug" video, too.

perhaps it is the "time accelerating", as Dr. Calleman explains, but it is spreading like wildwire, it seems, and I barely have enough time to catch up and learn (or remember, as they say)

4. I had never heard of this ..

Since moving here, and advancing my spiritual quest (haha), I've found there are many great resources in this area. Which is, of course, why I wanted to move here. Part of that has been reconnecting with churches (Unity/Science of Mind). Austin has an apex of questers, healers, shamans, pure spirituality. I have alwasy felt a strong abide with Spirit here. I'm not saying there are not beautiful, spiritual people everywhere. But this feels like my home. Delightful.

I hope we can all join with those for whom we feel a special kinship and Heal the World, thereby co-creating a new Reality.
