Anyone here a dowser?
And no, I don't mean you simply go around looking for water. There is an international group of dowsers/healers based in NW Arkansas that uses the pendulum and rods as tools for healing. They just finished their annual healing convention in Fayetteville-some very wonderful folks there with some very wonderful talks about dowsing and using light, the mind, sound, etc. for healing. The group is called Ozark Research Institute and I just wondered if anyone here knew about it.

1. My mother just loved these folks. She would call them quite a
bit. But, honestly I don't know much about them. Sorry.

2. They are really neat people to hang out with
the ones I talked with weren't that much into computers, but I was hoping someone else who was into computers had been there so we could compare notes.

3. I have read a little about what you are describing. Can you say more?
Where did this healing technique originate? Is it unique to Ark?

4. I really don't know
If you google "Letter to Robin", you'll find a document about dowsing and how to do it.

5. I'm not a dowser but
I grew up in NW Arkansas and have had family in the state since the early 1800's. I am familiar with dowsing and have seen the technique used for several things besides locating an appropriate place to drill a well (something which I have also seen). I suspect you would find much of the area folklore and "superstitions" interesting. They are not necessarily old wives tales.

6. I know they aren't
My stepfather used dowsing techniques to find water when no one else could. He was not spiritual, but knew that "water witching" worked and was quite natural. Hello from NW Arkansas back to you! :hi:
