I am hopeful for this year

For the first time in a long time I am hopeful this year will be a good one. I don't know why but I can just feel it. Not only for national politics but for me as well and that's a first. This is going to be a nice year. :)

1. I am hopeful too

Already, on the first 'working' day of 2006, we have Abramoff pleading guilty and agreeing to cooperate to lessen his sentence.

As bad as the last five years have been (and 2005 was particularly bad), I think there is is wisdom in the expression that "things have to get worse before they can get better".

We got 'worse', now we are going to get 'better'.

At least, I really believe so.

4. Interesting...

I have been feeling that too; like something very big and wonderful is coming. Usually, at the first of the year, I feel, another year of the same old shit, but I didn't feel that this year. Maybe another MLK, Jr. will emerge and make his/her presence known. :shrug:

But, it is nice to have this feeling!

And I still feel that too. Very hopeful. And I'm also feeling hopeful with my personal life too. I got some classes I like and hopefully will do well in. :) This year is going to be very different and I think in a positive way.

We will have some painful events to go through yet, however, things will get better as the year progresses.

And for the first time since my first term in college I'm excited about going to classes too. :shrug: I think things will be exploding (see the Abramoff case) and than we'll get to clean up and go through a healing period. I hope so and we can impeach the bastards. It will be tough but hey there's a silver lining on every dark cloud. I'm just feeling so excited about this year for whatever purpose which is new for me. Usually I don't feel anything like this.
