Ritual for protection from hurricanes.

I may have posted this before, but I am posting it again for all of our members on the east coast now. It's a Native American ritual to call on the Thunder Beings to protect you and your property as they move through with the storm. You'll see the rest in the full instructions below. I used it before Hurricane Rita (it went to the east of Houston) and for Ike (no major damage to the apartment units, and power returned less than 24-hours later.)

Hurricane Storm Protection

Hi Everyone
Here's a way to PROTECT yourself and your property from the coming Hurricane. We medicine people have used this many times before with great success. Mary Buckner, one of our shamanic facilitators, was literally at the 'x' point and had FOUR hurricanes hit where she lived in Florida last year--and they had NO damage. They were spared every time. Here's what she did:

1. Go to the grocery store and buy some yellow granular CORNMEAL. Get enough to sprinkle a yellow line (it can be broken, it doesn't have to be continuous) and demarcate your land that you want PROTECTED from the Thunder Beings who move the hurricane force winds and direct where the water will go.

2. Ground yourself--see silver tree roots gently entwining around your ankles and going down through the center of your foot at least 100 to 200 feet into Mother Earth.

3. Then, go to one point on your property where you want to begin to sprinkle the trail of yellow cornmeal. Stop, close your eyes, pray to the Thunder Beings and ask them to protect you, your animals and your property from their wind and rain. Ask them humbly and beseechingly. Add at the end of your request, "thy will be done," and then quickly sprinkle the cornmeal. Go CLOCKWISE around your property. And miss nothing that you want protected. Any dwellings on the land will be protected by the cornmeal circle or square or whatever the shape of your property, so you do NOT have to do it on every building or anything. The larger property cornmeal will be enough.

4. Continue in a CLOCKWISE direction sprinkling the cornmeal down--it should look like a thin yellow path--don't skimp--but you don't need buckets of it either. Spread quickly and thoroughly and come back and CONNECT/CLOSE this perimeter of cornmeal to one another. In other words, where you began is where you end and be sure to sprinkle enough cornmeal on that beginning/ending spot (a small heap is good)

Then, you're done.

Then, wait it out.

You see, the Thunder Beings recognize cornmeal and tobacco--they see it as colors psychically. When they see these patches/squares/rectangles or circles, they avoid them because they are sacred and they will, quite literally, MOVE the clouds/wind/rain around those areas or stand there and protect each one until the weather has passed the area.

So, pay attention to what happens. You'll all be safe and fine.

When you can get back online after the hurricane passes--and you did this ceremony--please post to athena what your experience was.

Those who have been STRUCK by lightning (a sign of initiation by the Thunder Beings/Storm medicine) if they do this for themselves or others, WILL be protected no matter what because that person is now one of their own kind.

So, often a person like this can go and help many others by spreading cornmeal along their individual property lines, if asked. It's powerful

I hope you're outside of the storm surge areas, PADemD. That's really the worst part of the hurricane, now that it's also coming in at high tide.

Thank you for sharing the ritual, Kentauros.

I did the ritual yesterday, and we had 1/5 the amount of water in our basement as with Hurricane Ivan. The 60-foot maple next to our home is still upright; and, best of all, my son was home to help me bail water this time.

2. Here's a question ...

... but first, a thank you for posting this, Kentauros.

If everything is intention and energy, could you not envision this ritual or set an energetic boundary around the property and have it be just as effective? I know ritual is about moving the energy in the physical to reflect what is done on another plane (do I have that right?) so I'm just tossing the question out there, is intention sufficient? I'd say yes but I'd love to hear what you guys think.

3. I don't see why not.

It would make it easier to protect a large building, like a high-rise apartment instead of buying a ten-pound bag of cornmeal in order to circle such a large building ;)

Taking what was said by Eileen in the ritual, that the Thunder Beings see the color psychically, my guess is that you could feasibly just meditate on that, setting it out there in the same way as they sense it.

If you do try it that way, let us know how well it worked :D

5. I did do it this morning ....

.... called in the Thunder Gods, Archangel Michael and other Divine Beings and drew an energetic perimeter around our house and our two neighbors asking us to be safe and secure. Will report back Monday on how it worked vis a vis what our other neighbors got. I'm on the MD Eastern Shore so we'll see.

Thanks for posting! It looks like this hurricane is headed right for us here in the Boston area, so any and all advice/help is greatly appreciated. And-I'm also putting us all in the white Reiki bubble of protection, this is very effective, too.

The last big hurricane I vividly remember is Hurricane Gloria-my daughter was born the next day!
