Water...Emotions

I've always associated water with emotions...a reflection of my personal and/or our collective emotional state.

We have various crises pertaining to water right now. Simultaneously.

Obviously the Gulf oil spill. The Tennessee floods. The Boston water main break.

And that's just in the US.

Does anyone know the name of that gentleman from Japan, I believe...a scientist who has done studies on water molecules?

I'd love to know what he is saying now, and what advice he may be offering.

2. Thanks, IHAD! Links:

In case others were thinking of him, or haven't yet heard of him, here are some links to read further.

Which online organizations do you feel are best equipped to coordinate a focused healing meditation? There are so many radio shows, websites, chain email/newsletter groups that eventually link up, but in your experience, is there an organization that is good about initiating coordinated global healing/meditation events?

This is the HADO site: http://www.hadousa.com/

This is his official website: http://www.masaru-emoto.net/english/e_ome_home.html

This is the children's project based on The Story of Water: http://www.emotoproject.org/english/about.html

3. Soka Gakkai International has monthhly World Peace Gongyo (chanting) meetings monthly
Pres. of the organization, Dr. Daisaku Ikeda has written an annual Peace Proposal to the UN for the last..oh what? 20 years? Some of his suggestions have been implemented. http://www.sgi.org/proposals.html

Also members of this Buddhist group chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo twice a day---for many things, personal and for others, including the world situation.

Just as an interesting aside, I once did an experiment at a Psychic Faire. They had an aura-photo thing, only this one was a real-time computer display. I had a reading and it was very accurate as to the emotional situation I was in at the time. So I asked if I could try chanting for a minute and then seeing what the device showed. She said sure, so I did. When I put my hand back on the sensor-plate, the center line of the image, from head to toe was BRIGHT shimmering white. Pure white!!! We both about dropped our teeth!! I was surprised she didn't start chanting herself right then and there! :P

anyway, that really blew my mind.

7. Heyyy OGR
I have tons of stories, experiences with chanting. It IS very powerful.

It's not magic though, it's very organic, since it is energy; and it is common sense--Chant and Take Action. Again, not a magic wand.

That means that it can take patience, and Buddhism teaches that practice is about growth and evolvement. That attaining Buddhahood is as simple really, as developing a strong joyful life-state by bringing out our innate "Buddha-qualities" of Courage, Compassion, Wisdom and Life-Force. (Not a mystical attainment of isolated bliss on a mountaintop, or separating ourselves from society by shaving our heads or dressing oddly, as popular myth would have it.)

That being said, the patience part can be tough...right now, I AM feeling VERY upset and despondent about the environmental situation and the cancerous effect of humans. :(

Gotta get going for now....to chant! (and get my ass to work! )

4. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Why all the incidents with water/emotion right now, nearly simultaneously? Two of the three are about contaminated water. One is about too much water.

In the pagan/witch belief system, water also has to do with purification--a gentler version of it than purification by fire (hey, the Christians stole its cleansing purposes and called it baptism!) It's also important in healing (obviously) and wisdom. Hmmm.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it might be related to what Rick said, about us being forced to face our issues now--all the stuff we've been burying or barely tolerating. Plus our wisdom, introspection, and emotions have been polluted over the years.

9. BAsed on the Masaru Emoto work...
we really *can* pray the water clean..and effect harmony in the molecules of the ater just with intention.

They took a sample of water from a polluted lake in Japan...and then had a buddhist monk pray over it and the change was instantaneous. I also believe that they realized that water is a conduit for energy and reacts holistically.

Therefore, in theory, we could have a container of water in front of us, visualize the areas of water we are seeking to heal, and the effects will be transmuted to the water in the desired location. They have also had many people gaather on the shores of a body of water and bless it because all water is connected and will carry the blessings and prayers to the intended area.

I live by a large body of water, I think I'll give this a try! (besides, we all know the Lake (tahoe)is a portal too...)

11. I need a refresher on Dr. Emoto's technique...

but if I recall it involves chanting (as Blanche was discussing above, too).

The vibrational effect of chanting and toning -- in conjunction with intent -- seems to be at play.

As someone who has always "toned" without knowing that's what I was doing, I believe wholeheartedly in the healing effects of vibration.

I wonder if Tibetan singing bowls would be healing when placed, and played, near water?

12. Bowls=GREAT Idea!
I think the real change is intention, which creates vibration and changes the water molocules. Singing and chanting can align your own cells to the vibration as well.

But as far as I can recall, it was simply prayer that did it. Though buddhist prayers probably ARE chants!

I have some friends with singing bowls, we will have to make an excursion to the Lake and see what we can manifest ;)

at least I can *feel* proactive in the face of such overwhelming awfulness, right?

14. Ooh ooh just got a mental image of a sort of "spell" to do
Love the idea of praying/chanting over water--a bowl, a jar, whatever--then, if there isn't a body of water nearby, just pour it down the sink and "send" it to the gulf. All water is one, all water joins up together eventually, so the healed water will join up with the "hurt" water and spread the healing.

Go for it, peeps! :hi:

me likey... !!!

Even better, every time you run water or wash your hands, etc...vision Light entering the 'gray water' and bringing the healing to the gulf as well... we could make it a prayer that we do MANY times in a day!
