i've been rather short and unpleasant lately, impatient with the rightward, loyalist trend upon this website, especially in the face of fomenting populist anger at a national level. time feels to be of the essence now, and still people cannot see the forest for the trees, still squabbling over their little niche, burrow, or hole.

but that's neither here nor there. i come here to recharge. so.... pretty picture time! post a picture that melts your tension away!

i love this pic!

2. Beautiful picture
Thanks NuttyFluffers. This forum is an oasis from negativity. I never fail to find some kindness that uplifts me and reminds me what is truly important.

3. I'm longing for the water...an island cove

A private island cove is my absolute dream right now. :) Like Gilligan's Island! LOL

When the "miracle programmer" (more to come about that soon, I hope!) came along and I saw he was from Saint Lucia, I Googled and was instantly drawn to this image. It's not a private cove, but it pulls me in nonetheless.

This is my "ahhhhhhhhhh........" escape image.

*sighs*

7. Here are a few that always make me smile.
This first one cracks me up. It's from a DUer. (Can't remember his name, or I'd give him credit. He uses it in his signature line.):

This next one is just too cute:

Finally, here's a picture of my grandmother and my youngest great niece. :loveya::

11. I have found this link to be very very helpful for me
It's an affirmation followed by a meditation that you can repeat every time minutes... http://www.heathermacauley.com/slide_show.html

That and I am wading thru Marshall Rosenburg's Nonviolent Communication book. I have been too quick to anger over stuff that didn't use to make me nuts... and thought I really need to find some kind of peace or this will just continue to escalate.

13. ooh, i love this collection of images! so... "unwinding"!
here's a kelp forest! something about it just makes me melt, and it's relatively impossible to just sit and enjoy it like you can above ground biomes. that's why i love the Monterey Bay Aquarium's kelp forest exhibit. could sit in the bubble window and watch the kelp sway...

visit this website for more images! :D

I'm far from a professional photographer, but hopefully my love and passion for them will show through enough to give a grin.

15. speaking of niche, burrow or hole
What's grumpifying is the commonplace ignorance of basic concepts that would be considered "progressive," not least of which is, even if you don't agree, show some respect. Oh yeah, DU Rules says as much, too.
