Atlantis Rising?
Of all the 2012 prophecies I've heard, Atlantis rising is the one that strikes a chord with me.

A few nights ago I listened to this interview. It is a difficult listen due to Frank Joseph Hoff's speech patterns and his tendency to wander off rather than answer questions. You can even tell that George Noory was frustrated.

The website is much more detailed:

I haven't even begun to dig deep enough to analyze all this information. This researcher places Atlantis in the area of Indonesia.

This appears to be an organized over view of the theory:

Prof. Arysio Nunes dos Santos writes that Atlantis didn't "sink". It was swallowed up by a tsunami.

3. wow......

More fascinating reading beckons. Great find, Why Syzygy! :)

The earthquakes and tsunamis and typhoons got my attention yesterday, and another DUer posted this site:

http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index2.php

It looks calm now (at the time I'm posting this), but The Ring of Fire was lit up yesterday with events (not all newsworthy, of course).

Mother Earth is rumbling...prayers for Her and all affected.

I can't wait to read this stuff. Thanks again.

Love it, thanks! It has spun typhoons off in the direction of China and California.

Did you see the pictures taken of Krakatoa taken in July this year? Wouldn't it be amazing if the same volcano which originally took out Atlantis was the one that reveals it again?

4. Thanks for the links, WS!
I've always loved the topic of Atlantis. I've always been a big proponent of its location in the mid-Atlantic, at the current location of the Sargasso Sea. I really don't believe it to have been Thera or Crete--that resonates as "resoundingly incorrect" with me, although Ancient Greece of course benefited from Atlantis' influence.

I do wonder about Atlantis rising. I know that in his essay on 2012, Matthew said that it won't happen because its civilization (and likewise Lemuria's, which also has been predicted to rise) has served its purpose. But I think perhaps the prediction of these places "rising" really means that we'll finally get some answers about them and find out that they were, in fact, real. THAT I could really get behind! :D

5. The Mayans
predict this era as the time of the return of Quetzalcoatl aka the "civilizing ones". They are referring to Atlanteans. There are other prophecies of "returns" during our time. That's the primary reason that I'm thinking Quetzalcoatl = Atlantis rising. I don't know if Plato predicted a rising/return. Edgar Cayce did.

In those days, the "Atlantic" ocean was not named as it is today.

As so often happens, Prof Santos intended to prove Atlantis theory wrong. He ended up convincing himself.

*Prof. Arysio Nunes Santos is a Nuclear Physicist with a Ph. D. in Nuclear Physics and a Free-Docency in Physical-Chemistry. In the course of his protracted professional career as a scientist, Prof. Santos also worked as a geologist and climatologist, disciplines he came to master, making substantial contributions to Ice Age Theory, particularly in what concerns Catastrophism and the reality of the Flood, the cataclysm which ultimately led to the demise of Atlantis-Eden.

Prof. Santos also wrote several other books and articles on Science and Engineering, as well as on arcane subjects such as Symbolism, Alchemy, the Holy Grail, Comparative Mythology and Religion, etc.. Pursuing these studies with a multi-disciplinary approach based on both the Exact and the Human Sciences, as well as the more traditional disciplines, the author finally managed to discover Atlantis’ true location; to prove its identity with Eden and the other traditional Paradises, and to reconstruct in detail the secret history of the Lost Continent described by Plato and several other ancient sages.

A gifted amateur linguist, Prof. Santos masters several tongues, including Greek, Latin, Sanskrit and Dravida, which are essential for the understanding of the ancient myths on Paradise and its destruction by the Universal Flood. This knowledge has enabled him to decipher Etruscan and Pelasgian, the languages of the predecessors of the Greeks and the Romans in the Mediterranean region. Prof. Santos traced these languages back to Sanskrit and Dravida, establishing an ineluctable connection with the East Indies, the true site of Atlantis.

10. I was wondering what is happening.
As someone who has survived several earthquakes in my lifetime that were 6 to 6.7 magnitude, they were destructive and heart attack scary enough. I can't imagine the horror of 7 or 8 magnitude quake. I believe I read somewhere that Lemuria that was supposed to be in the Pacific would be rising and bring Atlantis up with it as they are connected somehow. I believe I read it in an Edgar Cayce prophecy.

11. This is something
I have not spent a lot of time investigating because so much of it seemed purely speculative. I recently became very interested in Cayce. His comments were the first (besides Plato) that I've ever seriously considered. Prof Santos spokesman does indicate that Atlantis and Lumeria were contemporaries.

12. the Pacific is home to the continent of MU/Lemuria
I beleive that the differences between Atlantis & Lemuria is the difference between left brain & right brain thinking. Lemuria was more in the heart chakra and focused on intuition...Atlantis was more about the 3rd chakra, control over environment, etc
and Lemuria can be found in pacific cultures/archeology, while egypt an atlantic cultures mirrored the Atlanteans

Good book on the history of these cultures and how they have evolved into our current times... "the serpents of wisdom"
though some of the ideas there are not cool with me,( i refuse to see the illuminati as a benevolent society) he ideas behing the two pre-deluge cultures really resonates...

i'll look around today and see what else I can find...
