Apparently, a white plastic spoon is the best toy EVER!!!
Or so my cat Abbie thinks. He has been playing with it for hours. The older one, Molly, is looking at him like "WTF?"

I spend about $200 a year on toys but they would rather make their own toys: spoons, fingernail files, sweet n low packets, anything i didn't spend money on.

1. Watch the cat carefully. Those spoons pop & splinter and could get stuck
in an eye, mouth, throat, paw etc.

2. Mine go ape over:
The little plastic strips you rip off the big plastic milk jugs when you open them. They go crazy-nuts over the damn things.

3. They've even replicated those in the pet store for like 6 bucks...
I don't see why. We get them free with milk.

But the ones in the pet store are soft and don't run the risk of puncture of internal organs when swallowed.

Watch them carefully while they are batting it around.

6. My black cat walks around with it hanging out of his mouth
he's very possessive with it. They have all these pricey toys and it's the plastic strips, bottle caps, and crumbled peices of foil that give them the most joy.

9. My cat looooves milk rings, too ...
She freaks out over those - and the little rubber band things I use to pull back my hair. I no longer buy expensive toys ... when any old wadded up paper ball will do the trick!

...the plastic strips you tear from the milk jugs.

5. my cats like waded up paper balls. In fact, they like most anything ....
out of the trashcan. When I buy them nice cat toys, they're interested in it for about 23 seconds if at all, and that's it.

10. I do!
I have a million house plants and keep pebbles under them for moisture. The youngest of my 3 cats LOVES to play with the pebbles. She carries them around in her mouth, bats them around the house... I'm always picking up pebbles. :P

11. rock obsessed cats are fun arn't they.
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 12:41 AM by Bride of Cthulhu
the thing is that these are large baseball sized rocks. and Thrawn picks them up in his front paws and throws them, sometimes several feet. then pounces on them and batts them around until he decides to guard them for a while.

13. All kitties are a blast!
I just love the little kitties! :7
I don't think my rock lover would be able to pick up a baseball sized rock though. Wow.
