I made some unique dog bandanas.
I can make any size. They fit over the dog's collar and are reversable.

If you are interested, please let me know. I will be donating any money I make to
a dog rescue here in Los Angeles.

$10 for small $15 for larger

$3 for hand embroidered name or other sparkley studs.

1. These are adorable. I have 3 dogs.....
Henry the Cairn 25 lbs, Robbie the Shitzu 11 lbs and Toby (little black dog) 6 lbs.

I would like to get them in the colors your dog is wearing with their names and the doggy face. I would be happy to send you a check in advance. Let me know the total price, where to send it and who to make it out to and I'll get it right out to you. My web site is www.bethpets.com it has my office phone and email address.

3. Great! All three of my little guys are rescues so we love helping to raise money...
And we get the cutest ever outfits as well! If you are interested in selling more I will feature them on my Facebook page. I have over 80 doggie clients as friends and I am sure some will be interested.

5. You really need to hawk these at stores
I'm not kidding. They're marvelous and you could make a serious huge business with them.

And for heaven's sake, quadruple the prices at LEAST. Handmade unique and especially one-of-a-kind items are worth a LOT of money... and people will be thrilled to pay it. I think you may be doing much the same thing as I did about pricing with my bead work and embroidery... you enjoy doing it, so you feel kind of funny even charging anything for it because you'd be making them anyway just for fun. Since I started selling my stuff and especially doing custom work for people I've raised the prices x10 and people are ALWAYS saying I don't charge enough! I still feel a bit like a fraud charging what I do for each piece because I enjoy doing it and would be doing it for my own enjoyment anyway... I don't think I'll ever get used to that.

Seriously, these are really awesome. If you aren't doing it already I'd urge you to do holiday and special occasion themed doggie bandannas, too... they're always a huge hit with people.

6. I have to agree. Even though I got lucky and got my 3 at a great price...
I was going to suggest she should at least double them in the future. Especially now with pre Christmas orders. Think about a holiday theme! I have a friend opening a high end Doggie Store (this Saturday is the grand opening) and it would be an easy place to start.

8. I know. Everyone keeps telling me the same thing.
I need to get a computerized sewing machine that does the embroidery. Nothing too fancy, but the process would be much faster and more nicely finished.

I work full time and have 8 dogs, but want to make a go of this.

See what I did so far...

Still building website. Getting more pictures as I make more. I am going to get some different material this weekend. I have a request for some Chanukah and Christmas thems. I'm also doing a bunch for my son's wedding...dogs are allowed.

9. Look at Elsie! She's a celebrity spokes model!
I think it's a great idea.

Maybe someone knows where you can get a second hand machine for not very much. It's all for a good cause. I doubt if I know of one but I'll ask around on Saturday.

10. dog shops, groomers, vet offices...
All these kinds of places would probably love to have your business card and a flier and maybe even of a bandanna to display. My vet has a huge binder book where people put in their business cards and fliers for all kinds of dog related stuff... trainers, walkers, sitters, groomers, in home groomers, homemade and even organic treat makers, etc. It's the most popular piece of reading material in the waiting room.

A couple of themes you could do that would probably sell like crazy is a dog birthday or adoption day bandanna and sports team bandannas. With the sports team ones I'd be careful about using actual team logos, but sports team and doggie birthday/adoption day ones would be huge sellers.

And the website looks great!
