Recall I heard on a pet talk show on radio - Hartz Vitamins for Cats

Sorry, can't remember the exact name, but it was a Hartz cat vitamin product. Recalled due to salmonella.

I just googled it and here is a link. It's from Nov. 2007. Strange, the radio show acted like it just happened. Anyway, it's entirely possible someone might have this in their home.

I gave Sally Hartz for the first couple of years of her life - vitamins, etc. But when I switched vets, my new vet was not happy to hear I was using Hartz. Actually, first the vet tech said I shouldn't, then the vet echoed that. Neither would give exact details - I think they were hesitant to do so in case Hartz got too litigious - but they said they would never ever use Hartz and strongly encouraged me to use just about anyone else. Given the fact that this is an excellent vet who doesn't sell any vitamins or products in her office and didn't really push another brand on me (so there was no ulterior motive), I took their advice to heart.
