I need some help preparing my case please...
OK, so I caught momma kitty, and I want her to have her kittens. I am ready to foster the babies and pay for their medical/health needs to get them ready for adoption. But I know Wydell expects to have them aborted. I don't know how strongly she feels about it. I wanted to have my position and facts ready in case I need to defend my decision. I am looking online for facts about late abortions in cats, but if anyone here has any links or specific info for me to back up this decision, I'd appreciate it.

Muchas Gracias!

1. Good Luck
I don't have specific links but I'll try to find some later. I will say that no-one can force you to bring the cat in and then to abort her babies. I understand some people can be militant in their views but to put in bluntly, screw them. Since you are willing to take care of her and the babies then it's your call. As long as you spay the Mom after she is done nursing and then spay/neuter all of the kittens before adopting them out then there should be no problem.

If your rescue group has a firm "pro" late term abortion stance then I would consider finding another rescue group. You have to be comfortable with the philosophy of the group you work with.

2. Unfortunately, this is the only "no-kill" shelter in my area.
I don't know how adamant she is. I just want to be prepared in case I need to defend my decision with more than an emotional response. Going through her for everything will be easier and cheaper for me, plus they will do the placements. If I go it alone, I'll be clueless.

3. Your 1st post on this thread sets it out pretty well, in my
opinion. You're prepared to assume responsibility...
Good luck, and keep us posted on the progression of mama cat's pregnancy. I haven't helped deliver kittens for many, many years, but I did just help a Shih Tsu (sp?) breeder (yerk) with her dog's delivery. The mother mostly did it all. Mama kitty is lucky to have you for a guardian. O8) What about "Vanilla" for a name?
