I'm in PC Hell this week...now a goofy printer problem!
In addition to the problem in my earlier post, my old HP deskjet got to where it wouldn't feed paper properly and I needed to print out some stuff...so I ran down to Staples today & picked up a cheapo Lexmark X-1110 printer/scanner. Printed out my stuff no problem, text & grafs, it did fine but it won't work when trying to print a WEB page! The scanner works fine too but if I try to print html from a website from a browser it locks up the print spooler and I can't release it without shutting the whole damn works down & restarting. I can SAVE pages on the drive then open them up using OFFICE and print them just fine! My old printer didn't have this quirk. Only real diff is the new one is USB instead of ECP...have checked device manager can't find any conflicts listed -although- did notice the USB and modem both use INT 11, BUT I get the same result if I shut off the modem and try to print whatever is sitting in the browser window (same problem with Netscape, Firefox & IE)

Anybody got a big hammer I can borrow?
:grr:

1. Did you try seeing if there are updated drivers from Lexmark?
This sounds like a printer driver problem.

3. Check the temp files
I believe the web page creates a temp file before it prints. The default temp directory is usually in your profile (c:\documents and settings\etc...) so it could be that temp directory is too full or there may be something wrong with your profile.
