FireFox and CSPAN

The moment I open CSPAN3, I get "FireFox has experienced a problem and has to close". I seem to remember seeing this problem addressed somewhere but a search turns up nothing. I am running XPPro.
Just remembered. I am using FireFox 3.0 because if I update, I will lose "Tab mix plus".

1. can offer sympathy, not help - c=span changed their site recently

and I've had trouble getting video to load. Sometimes I have to click additional links like they used to have for the standalone player (choosing Windows Media or RealPlayer) to get it to load.

I can only use it on some computers to which I have access - something to do with versions of Firefox.

It always runs in IE so far, though I hate using Internet Explorer.

2. FYI there is a beta version of tab mix plus for the current version of 3.0..
it's available here: http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9178
I've been using it for a week w/o any problem.
