so I had a bag of Hawiian Rolls in the freezer
and I made 'slider' cheeseburgers with them

Tasty lil devils they were, swiss or havarti, onion tomato pickles mustard

Sounds yummy. It's pretty funny that the slider burgers have become some kind of fad everywhere. Even saw a thing on Stinky's link for the Today Show that they are making a special kitchen tool to make them. Having grown up with White Castles, and them being called sliders for as long as I can remember, is what makes it funny.

2. Funny, there were White Castles back east
but I can't remember hearing the term "slider" until I moved out west.

I guess it's because I wasn't a meat eater and never had occasion to read the menu. I just know the smell of grease and onions when I used to wait for a bus near one drove me crazy with hunger.

4. Sliders was not the official name on the menu.
It was a nickname given them by people who ate them due to their gastronomic effects. Think about what you say yougurt does to you.

i love the lil bite sized goodies though and with mr. K stuck to the TV for the NFL games, they were a good finger food idea

i mixed the beef with a bit of worchestershire and mrs dash. good stuff Maynard!!

Burger King is now selling them, too. But yours sound way better.
